I think the v4 is also to short for the same reason. Here is a pic of the v4 in a what I think is the equivalent of the Hana enclosure: Not enough thread protrudes to fix with a nut. You need to measure up, Modmaker has all the measurements for the various versions of fd and see if it will fit.

Yep as others have said have a measure up. The varitube ones are quite long as well.

Varitube one goes in, just done one. Only thing is found is the nut is a bit large so had to mill the corner out to get it to sit flat.

Ye they ain't dainty lol. Milling,grinding,hacking,attacking is becoming more regular on mods that we replace them on as they are squeezing more n more in a smaller space.

i dont think there is nuff room for the fd 510 tbh the board is to long ive fitted/worked out how to get it in(you kneed to chamfer the nut to get it to fit in with the batt box) ive got the fat daddys v3 shorty just waiting for a new board to come opps cluper mini

so i had a play about, and managed to fit the fat daddy shorty in my soldering skills are cack but it works i would do a picture inside the box but its a mess thanks @windows for your advice.
