UKV slow response

3 days ago i applied to join UK Vapours and still not in. Had an email after emailing admin t say they hadnt responded, but that was yesterday morning saying "Your message has been received, please allow some time for us to reply to your message if necessary"

It just seems an age to be accepted, or is this normal?

That's odd Brian, when I joined yonks ago, I just got in straight away with no need to apply.

However, neither of their admin are about much, so you would have to wait a while for a reply to your messages to them.

Just a thought, are you maybe waiting for an auto verification email? If so, check your junk folder.

I got in straight away when I joined too. usual junk mail to say click the link to verify account and that arrived within minutes, clicked the link and I was in.

Unless they changed it since should still be the case. Can someone try to PM an Admin over there to point them to this post ?

it does say that the response time is almost immediate or within 10 minutes, which is why im wondering what went wrong.
checked junk mail and nothing there.
i sent an email after 24 hours to admin to explain that i had applid but had heard nothing but the email back said "Your message has been received, please allow some time for us to reply to your message if necessary". now that might be an automated mail, but still doesnt help me get there. help please guys

I was having trouble accessing UKV a few days ago, could be totally unrelated.

Brian, as mentioned in my previous post, neither of the admin on UKV visit that often these days due, I believe, to personal circumstances. So it would be better for you to email one of the moderators rather than their admin.

Have you tried logging back into UKV & seeing if there is anyway that you can get a new activation code to be sent to you? If folks registering here don't get their activation email, they get a message when logging back in that asks them if they want a new code sent to them - not sure if it's the same on UKV though as that's not a Proboard.

tried to re-register but pop up told me the username (same as here) and email, were already in use. so i take it that im registered, but just cant use site until i have an activation email.

tbh, im in the best forum there is, so not too bothered.

did i say the right thing?

Brian, don't try to re-register, just try to log back in & see what it tells you. Lol, don't want to lose you - far from it, but it can be very useful belonging to other e-cig forums as we all have our different strengths & weaknesses

I did take a day off I've spent my whole lunch hour tidying the forum up as a result!
