The soaps are getting out of hand now... just been watching Emmerdale, and yes it's a teenage boy's dream... but we don't need to see it at 7pm.


Never watch Eastenders, far too depressing, but Corrie & Emmerdale I did... but now it's got totally out of hand with the stupid story lines... anything to get a reaction. Well, my reaction is to switch off! I want entertainment in the evening, and there's nothing on any channel.

We all live in the real world. We've all, unfortunately, had to deal with very upsetting circumstances in our own lives...

Why do we need to relive them in 'entertainment' programmes.

The 'quiz shows' are an embarrassment to participants and viewers... I'm fastest on the 'off' switch than anyone, especially when I've mistakenly clicked to 'Jeremy Kyle'.

Where did the word 'entertainment' disappear to... ???

Sadly some of the best comedies on TV at the moment are 20, 30, 40 and more years old. Police and detective dramas too. Are the current crop of programmers/producers etc. to scared to do something different. Or has writing talent dried up in this country. Will there still be channels showing Two Ronnies, Porridge, Morecombe and Wise, Eric Sykes, Monty Python, The Young Ones in twenty years time. I recently watched very old, black and white, episodes of Steptoe and Son. Still very funny nearly fifty years on.
