Progress?

Hi Kirsty it sounds like your doing great, I noticed the vaping kind of crept up on me and suddenly I wasnt interested in analogues anymore., so like others here have said I think it's just a transitional thing.. so all is well!... I just orded some cocomel too (amongst others) as I kept seeing it mentioned and a lot of people seem to love it!... can't wait..

I must admit, I think the cigarette makers have missed a trick there. I suspect there would be a market for flavoured cigs if they tried.

I know it's not really this thread, but it does worry me a little that some of the flavours may attract new younger vapers drawn to it by those flavours and then the government will have the ammunition to attack vaping.

I agree with you womble and I don't yes it 's dangerous if people want to attack vaping if the fruity flavour attract kids, particulary as there seems to be distrust from both the smoking and non-smoking camps, but on the other if your 14 year old was smoking, you'd probably want to try and steer them away from it and if vaping worked for them you'd be pleased.

On the plus side although vendors are really relying on trust that purchasers are over 18 , I really think that any child who was recieving the same amount of mysterious packages as I have over the last few months would be getting asked questions by parents/guardians and until vaping is more "mainstream" I don't think this is a concern .

Some good points there Kirsty. I also think you can compare this a little to the drinking arguement. When alchopops first came out (and still to this day) lots of people objected to them as they may encourage under age drinking. This arguement is pritty much as old as alchohol it's self. When babycham came along the arguement was the same. Teenagers as much as they like to think they did it first, they didn't lol. Teenagers still get drunk just some use a different drink now. Every generation has been through it. It's vapeings turn for the same argeument now.

We still have alchopops, just ask Bel lol

So thought I'd write a wee update on my progress especially as I seem to have made some today both good and bad

So did the same as last week and cut out 2 more nasties per day this week , got to say I found it a little harder this week, but its Thursday now and I am cool with it , guess if it does get too hard one week I'll go back to the previous weeks allowence and try again the following week, taking on board what a lot of you have said about not putting too much pressure on myself, but at the same time thrive on success and it is nice when I "win" these little battles with myself. That said I am constantly thinking about the "2" I am going to cut next week , and not in a ohh no I have to do this way but in a I'm looking forward to seeing if it works way S this is a +++++

Also today I left work and decided to walk to the bus stop as it was still light (about 20 mins walk) not only was I more than happy having happy having a wee vape as I walked but when I got to the stop I smelt people smoking and I was like ewwww! So I made a decision no more smoking before getting on buses or standing about bus stops. I've also just noticed as I type that I seem to have made an unconcious decision not to smoke in busy streets I wait till I am on a quiter street till I light up, amazing how this not smoking is slowly creeping up on me

So thats the positive the negative is that today all my juice tastes weird (some synthetic some like pee), today I thought it might be because I had mixed up Cartomizers, but then tonight when I when I went to have my Camoille tea I noticed it had the same synethetic taste as all my vanilla flavours have had today so figure its the old taste buds playing up ,, I read somewhere on here or ECF that the only thing to vape when this happens is menthol , I don't have any menthol and don't really fancy any mint based flavours has anyone got any alternatives ? I was thinking maybe Lemon?

Although seriously . . . Cinnamon can be quite a good flavour to perk up the taste buds.

I've got caramel it was the first pee one lol ! Cinnamon might be a good one quite strong but still cleansing !! Ohh !

This is fairly normal - your taste buds are coming back to life.

I found that brushing my teeth more often helped, I also found
my mouth 'furred up' quite a lot in the first few weeks.
It has settled down a lot now, and I'm back to my regular tooth
brushing routine too.

Stick with it and it gets better.

Yeah I have faith! Its quite weird though mmm whats that taste ohh its blah, actually I think I am going to get some apple on the go I have a wee bit left from my first purchase and a fresh carto

Vape, Vape, Vape do it get your order in , at the worst you'll stop smoking as much and thats a start I am convinced I'll now stop smoking could take a week could take a year I don't care I'll get there. You never know you might be one of the lucky ones who start vaping and stop smoking!

I should add I just cut a fag , not cos its on my list this week but just cos I didn't want it, ok I could get up in the middle of the night and smoke it just for the hell of it but I never did that when I was a full time smoker so why would I do it now , I'm on my way ?
