So on Monday I tried to cut out one of my morning cig's and basically wanted to KILL someone until I could get home and vape myself silly. So I thought I'd order some high strength tobacco flavoured nic to compensate for the cig's I am trying to cut out that week (I'm going for 2 less per day per week if that makes sense).
In retrospect cutting out the 2 cig's per day think only seems to hurt the first day I do it the following days I'm like well I did it yesterday so I'll do it today and its easy(ish) then. I should add that I decided to cut out a lunch time cig instead , as for the other cig I've cut out this week I can't remember when I used too smoke must have disapeared in the mists of time .....
Anyway I digress an fodder again the main point is that whilst I am still doing the nasties the tobacco flavoured liquid , does not taste good but the nasties still do ? Is this progress or just a liquid/strength that does not agree with me? Maybe it will taste better in the morning when I am expecting a real smoke ?
Any opinions on this ?

Kirsty, you will never get a juice to taste like a "ciggie" some are close ,however over the next 3-4 weeks your taste buds will change dramatically and eventually the taste/smell of tobacco will become very unpleasant and you will be surprised just what flavour juices you are vaping.

I've noticed that already a few days ago I was loving caramel and disapointed by strawberry Ice Cream now they seemed to have switched places. I started off hating 555 then I loved its nuttiness then yesterday I hated it again. Cocomel is my favorite and don't think my feelings about coconut will change
Just had a cadburys caramel (actual chocolate not juice ) tasted AMAZING:)

River whats wrong with cocomel? Is it a blonde thing ?
Chrissie TBH not sure how many I was on had stock ups from Europe since June more than 20 less than 30 , most of my juice is 18 or 20 but the strong one today is 24, got a plan to buy both more low strength and high strength juice, to coincide with giving up fags (hi) and chain vaping (low) lol!

Well done Kirsty, your taste buds will be playing alsorts of tricks on you for a while All i wanted was a cig flavour juice but now cant stand them and only vape fruity flavours. Yes to begin with the nasties do taste better, but after a couple of weeks i preferred the e-cig so keep with it, you will get there

I'd say you're doing really well Kirsty . . . for many of us it wasn't an instant switch over to vaping . . . more of a gradual progression. And, as Bel says, you could very well find yourself enjoying vaping all sorts of flavours that you would never have dreamt of . . . I know I certainly do.

Me too. Who would have smoked a strawberry cigarette? Lol I must admit, I think the cigarette makers have missed a trick there. I suspect there would be a market for flavoured cigs if they tried. I know it's not really this thread, but it does worry me a little that some of the flavours may attract new younger vapers drawn to it by those flavours and then the government will have the ammunition to attack vaping.

kirsty, you're doing great. The nasties will taste good because it's a taste sensation you are used to because you are still smoking them.
Don't force yourself to give up the nasties and don't have the mindset that you have to stop smoking. You are not stopping smoking, you are just trying vaping instead. If you feel you are depriving yourself of the nasties, they will always taste good. Thats not what you are doing, you are now a smoker who also vapes and one day you'll just be a vaper but there's no rush.
In the meantime your taste buds will do all sorts of wierd things and there is no way of knowing whether you'll end up liking baccy / minty / fruit / toffee / dessert / juices in the long term. That outcome is as individual and unique as all of us vapers are.
