How to upgrade your M80 plus Here are the download links for the new programe and a video to show you how to upgrade your M80 plus. This programs is only compatible with windows system installation, the download link for Macbook system will be released soon. www.dropbox.com/s/hnhynoshtrymkho/M80_V1.5_alert.hex?dl=0 www.dropbox.com/s/zdalsze1umu7zly/M80%2BFireware%2BSoft.zip?dl=0 There's some debate about the temperature control function of M80 plus over the forum, people are using DNA40 as a standard and comparing our m80 with it while there is acutally no standard for it since the TC is a new innovation. As our TC mode is different from DNA40, it works in a different way to do temperature control. Thanks for all our SMOK user's precious feedback and suggestion, if you like the temperature control working exactly same as DNA40, we will learn the best from them and try to develop a mod with better TC function,as there is no best but better. (This upgrade is only needed for the first batch of the M80 plus, you can pinch the reset hole to check, if the screen shows V0004 that means your device is from the first batch, the upgrade can be made. If the screen shows V0005, please don't upgrade it as your device is already the newest version.)

Said when they announced they were going to do a firmware update that it sounded like all they were going to be doing was eliminating the ramp up time. Looks like i was right.

Something a bit fishy here. SMOK say: While the method may vary, the end result should be the same. The temperature should be limited by the set value, and not deviate more than a few degrees. It either does that or it doesn't. The way I read the above is that Smok's temperature control doesn't do anything like the DNA40. So does it control the temperature with the v0005 upgrade? I hope to be proved wrong, but I think Smok need to understand the definition of temperature control. Edit: Just seen the manual for this device and it is quite clear how it SHOULD work. I'll be interested in hearing the views of those who have upgraded to the new software if it does as it should.
