The first egg !!!

I didn't record yesterday so cannot confirm date of laying.

EDIT - Been told "17 Feb 1947hr CST first egg of 2012 season".

Little birds disturb sitting eagle. Time for exercise and a sing-song with partner who flies onto branch (unseen).

A weird phenomenon since I've been recording Decorah eagles on pop-out with the browser closed down (well, that's what I figure)... I'm getting their sound on top of owl recordings even though Ustream (eagles) is not open ??? Eg:




So I went to the eagles site to see what was going on, and came across this pic of MrsE when it snowed:

I thought birds had to sit on them constantly. :-[

No Jemmy, the eggs musn't overheat either, and the parents know how long to leave them (I just read that on the Dec eagles blog). Boiled eggs won't hatch
