it just so happens that my first trip abroad is to Florida, doing a once in a lifetime trip to Disney with the family. Now I know all about vaping in the parks etc but want some advice on how to keep myself organised and do I have the right amount of batteries etc. i'm planning on taking my provari with 2 nautilus tanks, 2 gladius tanks as back up and enough juice just in case I don't see the inside of a B & M whilst there. Also will take my trusty MVP as a back up mod. I have two good quality 18650's only a couple of weeks old and an xtar charger. It's likely we'll only be in the room to sleep so will I be alright charging battery whilst asleep and will two be enough? I have spare coils so should be ok if I need to change and I think there's a kettle so if needed I could rinse my tanks. if I do get to a B & M, is there any juice that I would be hard pressed to find over here that I should try? I'm not really into buying new hardware all the time so unless I see an absolute bargain probably won't be bothering with that. any tips would be very welcome. Thanks.

from what ive read elsewhere tanks have a habit of leaking on planes, something to do with air pressure. dunno if theres a fix for it or whether you just have to leave em empty.

Leave tanks empty for sure, I took a Magma dripper for the journey, attached to a 18350 Nemmy for stealth use (in airport toilet), bit of clingfilm over your juice bottles before replacing the lids and carry your juice in your hand luggage (at least SOME of it), I had no leaks at all, except for the juice that I put in my suitcase (in the hold)

Never had a problem with bottles leaking but tanks do. I just wrap mine in tissue and store them upright in my hand luggage. When you get of the plane, take the base off and wrap it in tissue. Give it a good old shake. All of your coils will be flooded and this will sort them in a jiffy.

Thanks for all the tips, I hadn't even considered the effect of air pressure on the tanks

Take a few more coils with you just in case. Adaptor for charger. Get some of them zip lock bags from the supermarket that are for storing soups, sauces in. That way if their is a leak they will stay off your clothes. Make sure batteries are in a batteries case. MVP in hand luggage rest in suitcase. Keep spare coil in hand luggage as well as some bottles of juice. Best to have proper labled shop bought in hand luggage not Diy bottles lol, in case of some little Hitler at security. As q said a dripper would be best fir travel as no tank to pressurise.
Most importantly HAVE FUN!

I'm so jealous - we went a few years ago and I loved it so much. As I was still a smoker then I can't offer any vaping related advice. Just wanted to say have a brilliant time - it'll be absolutely knackering as you just don't stop - plan to have a couple of rest days during your stay or you'll collapse

Another thing, all of your batteries must go in your hand luggage, it's the law. Li-ion batts are volatile and they'd rather fight the fire in the cabin than not know it was happening in the hold. If you put li-ion batts in your hold luggage you could be in big trouble.

I put bulk liquids in zip lock bags in suitcase along with charger, other mods, empty tanks. I carry on a small device plus a couple of small 10ml bottles (in the little bag in your hand luggage) . I have never had a problem if I have followed this. Remember if you take a device like a iStick or MVP with a built in battery it must go in hand luggage, charged and turned off for the flight. If you have to charge batteries overnight then I'd try and put the charger on a non-combustible surface like a tray or even in a basin/sink, although you'll have to be careful not to turn the tap on!

This is all gold for me, exactly the kind of advice I was looking for If I keep a tank with some juice in on me ( for the journey) will it leak in the pressurised cabin? I could understand them leaking in the hold, but is it likely to leak in the cabin? Thanks all for your comments so far

Thanks all for your comments so far Cabin pressure is lower than normal atmospheric, so leakage is a possibility, you could wrap the tank & device in kitchen towel and once again keep in a plastic bag. I've vaped more than once on a plane (stealthily) and some tanks will leak and some will not, it's a bit of a lottery. So just try to minimise the possibility of mess if they do.

As I said just wrap it in kitchen roll or tissue. Then when you land take the base off, wrap it in tissue/kitchen roll give it a healthy shake and you'll be good to go ???? Chris

I couldn't DISAGREE more, shop bought juices will have the hazard warnings on them which can freak out some customs guys, mine were the cheap (30 for 2p) chinese bottles, all of homebrew, and just marked with permanent marker, VM (for vanilla mint) & QB (for Q'n'Blue) I was asked what they were, I explained and offered a demo (which was refused), and sent on my way

Never had any trouble at customs with batts mods tanks. Once my Evic was swabbed when I had been in Amsterdam (no surprise) and in Italy I was once asked what my protank was for, I said Ecig and was waved on my way. You've got nothing to worry about as long as you stick to the rules. Chris
