I'm much less out of breath, already! My sense of smell has improved (not really possitive when the dog has the sh*ts all over the floor, lol) My morning cough disspeaared, then came back perhaps that's my lungs getting rid of all the build up of horrid stuff? I've been feeling like i'm getting the cold and have had 2 nasty cold sores since stopping I may be on too high nic content cause i'm feeling a bit anxious, or it may be the lack of all the other sh*t from rollies in my system ? (have ordered lower nic juices) I'm very proud of myself as I've been in a bit of a stressful situation toningt with someone who chain smokes rollies (with my favourite brand of baccy) and for about 30 seconds i was tempted, but i thought to myself, no, just vape through it, so I did Can't say my skin is looking any more radiant yet, but I'll give it time, i can't quit vaping now after all the money I've spent and I enjoy it more than smoking. To celebrate not having a rollie tonight I've filled a brand new carto with Grizwold's vanilla tobac and put it on a fully charged battery, bliss, lol

It was about 8 months after I'd totally quit smoking with vaping that I decided to try out one of my old rollies. I was really surprised I could still roll well, but I could I just wanted to see, after 8 months would I get anything like I thought I would? Nope. I switched to rolling golden virginia instead of cartons because it was cheaper and to me, tasted so much better. I took two drags of what I thought would be a nice nostalgic taste to celebrate not smoking anymore and just put it out. I think licking a used ashtray with chilli powder in it is as close a taste as I can describe for it. It was awful! I wondered why in the heck did I smoke so long thinking this was better? At the same time, I was oddly saddened that this was it, I would never be a smoker anymore and I'd never be able to enjoy a smoke again. That feeling didn't last long though because I fired in some ry4 on the Ce2's on ego booster boosted egos I had at the time and forgot all about it man I love vaping! Congrats on two weeks! I know the feeling, I pretty much owe my having jobs to vaping because I couldn't even stand up for a few minutes without feeling faint with how much I used to smoke before which obviously meant I couldn't look for jobs It happened so fast. Like two weeks and I was skateboarding again! Say whaaaat? lol Keep it up yo

Thanks for sharing Lefty, great story! I have to say tho, I still feel like a smoker? Vaping to me is like smoking with extras but without the horrid stuff! I think that I will be addicted to vaping now but if the Government banned it or something I think it would be easy to go back to smoking (I like chilli, but not stinking ashtrays ) I've tried to give up before with gum and patches and it was just terrible, an ordeal. i can't believe I'm ENJOYING giving up smoking

Oh yeah, I meant more that I'm not a smoker in that I vapourise my nic instead of burning it. I still definately feel like a smoker in that I still inhale stuff and use nicotine and to the casual observer I look like I'm smoking. Maybe not if they catch me using my lavatube in the wild It's the same ritual to me, to go out to "smoke"/vape for 5 minutes of peace and just relax. Haven't really changed much in that regard. I'd definately notice if I stopped vaping but it's not nearly as hard as not smoking. I've gone a few weeks with 0nic before and gone 2 days or more at a time without vaping and it didn't phase me. Feel more like I vape because I want to, not that I need to which is weird. I can quit any time I want, I swear, just let me buy this last mod... I didn't even try gum and patches. I knew I had to stop smoking or I'd die, at 24 that's kinda scary, so I went to the completely useless health centre here and they wanted to put me on the smoking cessation class, which I didn't even turn up to (I still feel bad about that) and just kept on smoking until I found out about ecigs and just made the switch like it was nothing. I did try cold turkey a few times but it just wasn't going to happen with how much idle time I had. It's like smoking but I don't feel like I'm killing myself by doing it. Any time someone asks me if it's safe or wont I feel silly if it turns out ecigs are bad for you, I say say, nah, I'd have been dead within 10 years the way I was going so I feel like I got my life back and if I even make it 11 years, that's one extra year I wouldn't have had without them and I really wouldn't have enjoyed a single day of it. I still have to make it to 80 so my bet's on vaping

Congrats karma. Your doing really well!
Maybe consider lowering nic strength, even if you just get a sample size bottle of juice to see if it makes a difference. James sells 5ml bottles for £3 inc postage, so not much money to lose.
I started on about 24mg nic & now I vape 12 -18mg nic & I find it's just right.

Way to go Karma!.. You did great, quiting smoking (nasties) is certainly not easy. there are so many different aspects to it.. but your already over the worst so you can enjoy the experience of vaping now and still feel proud. I still felt a smoker when I started vaping but not so much now.. I think the fact that I look, feel healthier and don't smell like an ashtray has moved me out of the realm of smoker and into the domain of vaper.. (Which benefits speak for themselvs eh).. hell, even my house smells a lot better and doesn't have that horrible stale smell when I walk in. sooo.. Well Done! can only get better from here....

Hey, lefty, i'm sure you'll make 80, my Dad stopped smoking in his 50s and he is 90 on Saturday Hissie, I've started on medium, the strongest I have is 20mg but most 18, so i've ordered some 11mg. Martin, i would love my house not to smell like an ashtray, but DH is still smoking I'm loving being able to vape in my house and car and not have the windows open and freezing cold I meant to say in my original post that my gums have started bleeding. It was worrying me a bit, but when I thought it through I realised that there is probably damage there and without the carbon monoxide more oxygen is getting to them, so the bleeding is probably part of the healing process?

What juice are you vaping VG or PG?
I've always vaped 100% VG & have never had any of the problems others have had. Maybe whatever your vaping isn't agreeing with you. I know I get a sore throat when I vape PG.

Bleeding gums is perfectly normal, as you said its the healing process. Mine did the same and i was worried at first. It soon starts to settle down

My mum and both my sisters are dental nurses so I guess that makes me a by proxy dental expert Yes, it's normal for your gums to bleed when you quit smoking. It's due to the reduced blood flow you had before. Now that you're getting a better blood flow to your gums the gum disease that was present but difficult to detect is showing itself. It will pass in time with good dental hygeine. Be sure to brush twice a day, use mouthwash, brush your tongue and floss is possible. It also helps to chew sugar free gum after you eat to balance your ph levels faster with the increased saliva, and be sure to keep your fluid intake up
