I have actually re ordered one Ripshod purely for the 80watts, the 4400mah battery and the looks of it, not bothered about the TC now but it will be interesting to see if they do any other updates. Personally I dont think it is fixable, it`s a very shabby release by SKOK, just getting on the bandwagon in my opinion, pretty cynical stuff.

I'm still in 2 minds robby.

I do like the format for an 80 Watt box especially at that price point. However I feel that although Smok have dropped the ball on the TC front they may bring out a working version in the near future.

Do I buy now and to hell with it? Or do I hold on in the hope of a redesign/hardware fix?

You never know, I may just drop lucky and get one of the rare 'Golden Sample' workers, like my M65.

Where would the current owners of faulty units stand if Smok was to release a reliable working version?

You know what, I think they knew this thing didn`t work and the rediculously low price of it should have rung warning bells in my head. It`s the same price as the M60, how can that make any sense? along with the crazy smoke screen of the 5 to 7 second ramp up time, but it`s certainly worth the money for a straight 80 watt mod Ripshod

Ye of little faith. alex05 said it would have proper fully functioning as it says on the website. And I believe him wholeheartedly. The problem though is that we will have to wait till 2016 to get it. FT are no doubt getting rid of the old non TC (which should have had it) stock. While alex05 will be shipping the brand new all singing and dancing, 200⁰-600⁰C non burn, fully controlled vaping machine.
