You have to admit though most of the outcry calling for him to be sacked had sod all to do with this assault it was essentially people saying he's an a-hole they don't like and he should go, barely anyone made the argument that VapingBad puts forward that is perfectly rational and addresses the thing he was actually suspended for and eventually sacked for.
Virtually all the news and media articles about him since the story came out that he had been suspended have focused on his behavior in relation to everything but this specific assault like somehow hitting people in the workplace wasn't good reason in itself to dismiss him.

Flicking through a few "news" sites and you would think something important that would effect many peoples lives or the future of out species had happened . There seems to be so many ways commentators can use this sad story to churn out content, but IMO it just comes under the category of "highly paid celebrity treats a lower powered person like an object" (Terry Pratchett often identified the evil of treating people like things).

Used to like Top Gear, but not so bothered these days as every episode is basically the same, it's a shame to see it go (current incarnation anyway) and there one person to blame. Maybe the Beeb will buy Ausie Top Gear to fill the gap.
