Yes but apparently he draws the moral line at gay marriage and rationalises it by asking whether it means he'll be able to marry his son, given that most of the outcry over Clarkson appears to be his non PC and bigoted views then Irons might not be the ideal candidate even though intellectually he appears to be an ideal candidate.

Reports today say he's sacked, though still no official word as yet. Chris Evans says he won't be taking over Top Gear, which some reports suggested he was thumbs in for it.

The amount of people suggesting they won't pay the licence fee if he's sacked.....lol! That is until the reminder comes through the door.

I've no axe to grind, as I don't watch the show or him. However, if they hadn't got rid, they would have been a laughing stock as an employer, if they're not already.

I notice that Rupert Murdoch has said the BBC would be mad to do it, which just goes to show he can only see £s and $s, not right and wrong, and after the News Of The World debacle is it any surprise. Guess he'll be at the front of the queue to offer him mega bucks.

I shall be sad to see the end of Top Gear, I've enjoyed it immensely especially the Christmas specials. Whilst Clarkson is a totally self gratifying prick, ignorant, arrogant and down right vile, he's also hysterical and the mix of the 3 personalities just make the show, he cannot be replaced in the same way Charlie Sheen killed the show when he left two and a half men.
