A fully charged (decent) 18650 lasts less than a couple of hours of moderate use. The device even seems to discharge the battery when it's turned off. Is this common? It's a pain in the rear.

are you very sub ohming? I know that can drain the battery but I will admit that my rdna vaporshark battery lasts longer than (the same one) in my mini clouper (both are brand new)

First thing check the battery contacts are clean. Both the mod and the battery itself.
I have heard of this before, but I'm struggling to locate it. iirc the mini was swapped for a good one by the vendor - but please check the contacts first, don't want you to be embarassed.

Give it a good 10 or 15 minutes use then open it up, remove the battery and feel with your fingers where it is getting warm. If it is getting through the battery more quickly than other mods the energy has to go somewhere and it must go as heat.

And the battery discharges when there's no tank attached and the device is switched off.

Yep, mod and battery contacts are clean. I got it from Gearbest and for twenty quid, I don't know if I can be bothered sending it back. Think I'll get a kBox instead.

Take the battery out for an hour to let it cool then put a fresh battery in, leave it for 30 minutes with the atty attached then remove the battery and finger test for warmth. Also try putting in a fresh battery and don't vape but check the battery voltage every 30 minutes. This will give you more information about just what's happening.

If the battery is discharging with no atty and with the device turned off then there's clearly a fault with either the device or the battery in my mind. I'd be wary of continued use until the issue is identified.

check the battery voltage every 30 minutes. Makes sense, but how do you check the voltage? Jim

Had the same problem ended up getting another. The faulty one is awaiting a replacement board and a sprung loaded 510

Does the negative battery contact need lifting back up?

check the battery voltage every 30 minutes. Makes sense, but how do you check the voltage? Jim Get a cheap voltmeter from ebay, couple of quid. My Cloupor seems to run the battery down quickly, but when checked it's still at about 3.8 at the end of the day. That's probably not the case here, but a voltmeter costs buttons.

Mine was the same. After a brief period of trying various fixes, I threw it away. Sent a miffed email to the vendor and put it down to experience. Life's too short to piddle about with crappy things..

I had a T5 that would drain the battery and then it went up in smoke! Im afraid Cloupor make some good looking mods but the internals are crappy. I would never buy any Cloupor products again.
