Could this also have been the cause of MH370 last year? Not having the recorders from that flight, we'll probably never know.

Listening to the 'aviation experts' we already have systems that do the job of the 'flight recorders' but can be streamed instantly to people on the ground. They can even control the aircraft from the ground, similar to the 'drones' that are in use. If anything good can come from this tragedy, let's hope these systems can be implemented as quickly as possible. I also assumed that two crew had to be on the flight deck of a commercial plane, merely in case of illness... but not as in this case.

As others have said... RIP to all the innocent, and thoughts with all the families.

Totally what went through my mind as soon as I heard, don't get it, it just makes me really angry.

I was shocked to read that in the year 2014 there have been 12 aviation crashes with 761 deaths, how many will there be this year?

Have to admit, I would be too afraid to fly anywhere now.

It's so scary to think someone committed suicide but took 148 others with him and murdered them i can't comprehh how someone can think it let alone do it and be totally calm about it, he must have planned it making it premeditated murder which he can never stand trial for,

Those poor families and friends, I can't even begin to imagine now how they feel and the co pilots family they are going to possibly feel tremendous guilt,

I can't help but wonder if 27 is too young for a commercial airline pilot.
