It seems the co pilot deliberately crashed the plane. I can't begin to imagine what those poor passengers must have gone through. I also can't begin to imagine what was going through the co pilots head

A real shame, I feel for the families of everyone on board, including the family of the co-pilot, they will be going through a tough time. You do wonder how anyone could do something like this.

I agree....it's like the world is in the grip of a virus.....wherever you turn you continue to hear of sick people committing atrocities. It's shocking beyond belief. Don't think for the families sake they should have revealed that screaming was heard on the tape. How do you cope knowing that your loved one was terrified.? ..it would stay with you forever.

My mind cannot comprehend this. If someone wants to kill themself, then go drive into a tree, or take an overdose of something... regardless of their state of mind, and I appreciate some cannot face their lives, why, why take others with you.

Could this also have been the cause of MH370 last year? Not having the recorders from that flight, we'll probably never know.

Listening to the 'aviation experts' we already have systems that do the job of the 'flight recorders' but can be streamed instantly to people on the ground. They can even control the aircraft from the ground, similar to the 'drones' that are in use. If anything good can come from this tragedy, let's hope these systems can be implemented as quickly as possible. I also assumed that two crew had to be on the flight deck of a commercial plane, merely in case of illness... but not as in this case.

As others have said... RIP to all the innocent, and thoughts with all the families.

I am reading and reading the news in English and in German - one just can't comprehend it !
