I need to place my first replacement order for Carto's and I am a bit confused ??? . Firstly can I just clarify the difference between LR and SR, I think I read somewhere that it is easier or faster to to vape with LR ?
Second of all when I ordered my riva kit Jason kindly provided me with both Boge and Kanger's , how do I know which ones are which as I seem to have got them mixed up. I have looked at them and there seems to be some that are very shiny and some that are a bit more tarnished looking, is this to do with the brand or just the ones I have been using longer?
Lastly does the length of time a Cartomizer lasts depend on the juice you use? I swear I have one Cartomizer, that is really tatty but juice still tastes fine the others I have already disgarded due to flavour going and looking at the wadding and thinking yep its about time !
Oh actually a final one I was contemplating about partcipating in the GB, but I have contemplated too long for next time would it be the 510 threading for a Riva?
Thanks in antcipation

The LR gives a bigger hit as the coil heats up hotter, due to it being low resistance. ie it boils off more liquid (I think that's right)
The kangers are normally the LR and IIRC they are minutely longer than the boges.
A thicker juice can gum up a cartomizer quicker, but it is "how long is a bit of string" to know how long a carto will last it seems.
Yep, riva is 510

Kirsty, i've not tried low resistance yet on my Riva cause I'm perfectly happy with the hit out of the standard ones. I've have a mixture of Boge and Kangers. I think the draw is tighter on the Kangers at first but haven't noticed any other difference and now that they are both in use I've got them mixed up too :-[

On the Kanger . . . you'll notice a central white tube protrudes a little higher han the wadding type material inside Kirsty and I think the Boge filler comes that little bit higher up the tubing than it does on a Kanger.
Although I've not got a Boge to hand right now . . . but I'm pretty certain that's the right way round to tell the difference.

Hi Kirsty
I'm still pretty new to vaping, so I'm no expert by any means, but I got some boge LR cartomisers with my newly aquired Riva 510.. my experience with these is the hit they give is amazing and it's a pretty instant blast of vapor, I literally only have to hold the button for maybe a second and get PLENTY! of vapor etc and full throat hit..full amount of vapor, fast heatup and the vapor is pretty warm too like smoke..
However I have noticed I'm going through juice really really quick.. I'm considering getting some SR cartomisers too to test the difference.
nb* glad you asked about knowing when to replace the cart too as It's something I've been wondering as well.. I havn't had to yet, but Im guess it will just sort of loose it's taste, or just not have the ooomph when it gets too old?

Interesting Martin! The reason I've not tried LR is because I thought they would run down my battery quicker but if you are only holding the button down for 1 sec then the charge should last at least as long then?

The draw on a Carto can become tighter and the flavour will drop off when it's past it's best as a rule Martin . . . this can be anything from 3 days to a couple of weeks.

Can't help with telling between low and standard resistance by sight though Absolutely it depends what juice you put through them, but also how often you let them run dry and also variations in manufacture. Some are just better than others.

Yeah *dont mean to hijack Kirsties post* but it might be useful info.. but yeah, when I fired up the riva I held the button down for a few seconds and the room was full of vapor lol huge cloud of it.. I thought Oh my what an upgrade to my cig like one.. and really it was a bit extreme for my preference..
soo, It working out for me about 1-2 seconds for a full mouth/throat hit and plenty of vapor (I can make my laptop vanish) I'm also using 1100mah batteries, with LR cartomisers and the battery lasted around 3 days...
everyones different though so some folk might want hugeee clouds of vapor etc, but even with a few seconds on the button per draw these batteries are impressive.
and thanks Perpetua.. (still going good so far on 3 days of LR cartomiser with reasonably heavy use, and dripping)

Kirsty, Check out the link in Dom's post above, makes it really easy to tell Boges from Kangers I'd stick to standard resistance (SR) cartomisers be they kangers or Boges at the moment, especially if you're happy with the vape you get. Once you get a bit more experience you may want to experiment. Switching to Low resistant (LR) you will shorten the time your battery lasts between charges.

which do you prefer at the moment between the kanger and boges ? if you ask Jason he'll be able to tell you which he gave you but i'd imagine they were the standard cartos... IMO it would be worth trying a LR as they really do give you a better umph (technical term)

or if you check your invoice you should find either SR or LR against the Kangers and the Boges.
