I want to replace some of the thumbscrews on this tank. The filler screw and the carto screw [that tightens to the carto] are both the same size. I have a habit of dropping them and have broken the knurled head off on two of them. Anybody know where I might order some?

If you know what size the thread is you could swap em out for allen screws. Ive been waiting for a cheap x8 tank to come up on ebay, I like the idea of a top fill screw.

As your opinion is worthless to me, I wonder why you would impose it on me. There is very little trolling here, it's a pity you choose to do it.

prowler just a thought, but at £4 a pop perhaps you could order another couple, use both new ones and strip the existing one for spares?

If you can find out size of the screw m3 m4 or whichever and thread pitch. Then you might find a suitable replacement here. www.automotioncomponents.co.uk/en/page/thumb-screwsPC thumb screws might be a similar fit. But without knowing exact size hard to find em.

Thank you igual but the page shows a "fatal error" for me. tomj777 the screw has a sharp pointy end and wide threads. I think I'll just take prr's advice and buy spares. I just thought someone on the board may have done the work already. phtumshk I haven't tried those, but if the seals work ok should do the job. As with the X8, with the juices I use, I'd have to have a glass version and the X8 tube is easier to get I'd bet. Having said that, only 2 of the 4 I ordered, fit straight out of the box.
