Well , all it is , is a V2 that's been cut and ground down enough for 22mm atty's to fit. So , here it is :- I've been waiting far to long for Innokin to realise the potential of this ( a V3 version ) and I've seen other pics of people chopping theirs so I bought a second hand one from someone on UKV.I know it's messy , I'm a plumber , I do practical , not necessarily pretty , hopefully next time . Likewise I cannot understand why they haven't offered a updated version of this. A sprung 510 and a bit more oomph and this mod would be one seriously solid beast.
Having stripped down the internals on a vtr unless the inside is milled out a lot more no way to fit a DNA ,sx350 in due to its shape. However I reckon a raptor might go in with a bit of jiggery Pokery.

Only just noticed this thread, so late as usual. Good work on the surgery, and like me, I am not that fussed about a 'bodge job' as long as it all works afterwards, as I would not be entering it into a competition. I have sometimes thought about cutting mine down so that more tanks will fit without using the 'extender', but I don't want to perform surgery on the one I have. I was hoping my new Nautilus Mini would fit, but the air flow ring makes it just that little bit too wide to fit inside the ring. Good idea though if one can be bought on the cheap. I like my VTR2 (fixed wheel) because there is something about this mighty beast that appeals to me. I have dropped mine a few times, and even with the large Nautilus mounted on top of it, luckily on to a carpeted floor, but the tank did not break even though it was not protected. It still performs well, and the stripes and the chrome on the fire button are wearing a bit (army green one) but do I care ?........nope, it is well loved.

Yep, I do wish Innokin would come out with the Mk3 version, as I reckon I would buy one. Updates to include same size screen but different chip giving more information. Perhaps a slightly wider barrel to take more larger tanks. Perhaps a slightly more accurate adjustment wheel, but how it is doesn't really bother me. Also, up the wattage to say 30-50W or something.
They wouldn't need to do too much, and it is no heavier to lug around when out and about than my shiny new silver MVP3 Pro, which to me seems to weigh about the same, but must admit the VTR2 is more comfortable in my hand.
