Yeah i'm dubious they'll ever ban manufacturing, domestic sales maybe but manufacturing for export i can't see happening.

From what I understand reading elsewhere, the Chinese (domestic) private banking sector is about to implode with the realisation of massive unrecoverable loans (not completely dissimilar to the 2010 fiasco in the US and Europe). Commentators are reticent about what effect this will have but my guess is it'll only strengthen the position of exporting companies, especially those generating a (very) positive dollar cashflow.

They could decide to not make stuff to sell to Chinese people but they will never stop selling e-cig hardware - you can bet on that.

This is scaremongering... to sell more rip-off hardware before the FDA in America rule to to the same to America that the EU are doing to the UK.

It was published elsewhere first - appears to have started in Hong Kong as usual - I'm hoping it is just scaremongering, but with what is happening elsewhere you never know, e.g: Denmark, Norway etc.

I expect you're correct that this is just scaremongering.

I'm fully aware of the impending TPD implementation and what a panic-stricken government could do in it's early days.
Last month I figured it was time to build up my stock of mods, batteries, juice, nic, flavouring and even kanthal and "invested" over £300 to ensure that I and a couple of mates could continue vaping for the foreseeable future.

So if their intention was to get me to fork out for a load of vaping tat, they've missed the bloody boat!

Since when were the Chinese concerned about the inhalation of substances? They have some of the highest levels of air pollution in the world and haven't exactly been pro active in dealing with that particular problem.

China of all countries with there massive growing economy know if they stop then another country will take the demand

Loads of other far eastern countries would love to jump on the vaping manufacture bandwagon. So if China stopped, Kanger,Innokin Smok et al would just lift and shift to Vietnam, Cambodia etc. They are in this to make money not be a public service to vapers. Threaten the money, money moves. That's what happened to big T. So I'm not going to worry a jot about this one.
