The TPD means nothing

Anyways back to the TPD i feel that the goverment want to raise the bar on vaping making it
harder more expensive for there gain as they know its healthier = healthy people less strain on goverment

big pharma and big ciggy companys
fills 2 pockets for them cig sales then
when ill with cigs you need medicine or more

i still think they have the cure for cancer but it will only be available in future if you have the funds for the cure

thats my take but am just a nut that thinks they have an agenda for us all just have to take the ticket and ride it out

Thank's Chrissie, but I think it is best they are removed as it has derailed the thread and I feel that it is important that vapers know about the TPD as many who were not active online when it was all going through are complexly unaware.

@zuza soon after buying my first e-cig, one of my first thoughts was that big Pharma (even more then BT) would do everything they could to dis them. More than any other body, they control us in so many ways & have the money to fight anyone & anything that threatens their profits

In the first world BigT have little traction, public health have made them persona non grata.
They undoubtedly spend much of their budget in the third world, where plug socket shortages
Mean ecigs are irrelevant.
The drugs companies however have billions allocated to lobbyists worldwide.
Interestingly much of the funding for public health comes from the drugs world,
I wonder if their is a correlation?
What public health are ignoring is the effect of their anti ecig activities is discouraging quit
Attempts and, should proposed regulations continue, put the future of ecigs into
The hands of the tobacco companies.

There is only one thing above that concerns me, top left the bottle of e juice and the nicotine in it. The rest I will be able to buy for myself and others, like I do now, all knew nothing more than the e-cig look a likes sold at supermarkets until I advised....... same as the future...... word of mouth, this place and the Internet is more powerful than a tv advert.. Food flavours have been tested and approved already haven't they? We just inhale them.

Let's talk whats coming, how it will actually affect us and future vapers in the real world, how it will be enforced or not and the loop holes.....how the hell are they going write a regulated battery, dripper , wire and some cotton wool into law?

I'm commenting on an old reply - back on page 1 - and I apologise, but the point raised by clairea is so apposite. Clive Bates has long argued that ecigs need their own set of regulations, much like the cosmetics industry got. What ecigs got is a set of regulations arguably written by pharmaceutical companies (a direct competitor). The TPD has already happened, it is law - all that remains is its enactment, which Nation States are obliged to carry out. The point of our poster (which is hopefully going to be printed out by at least a few vapers and taken to their vape shops), is that still, people are unaware that it is going to happen.

Don't worry, they thought of that:

Article 20, paragraph 5d:

"any form of public or private contribution to any event, activity or individual person with the aim or direct or indirect effect of promoting electronic cigarettes and refill containers and involving or taking place in several Member States or otherwise having cross-border effects is prohibited;"

I know they can't ban the internet - but arguably they're trying to where ecigs are involved.

letsavit I know you vape tanks bigger than 2 ml those will be gone, they could use the "leak proof" & "dose per puff" to kill most everything if they choose to be extreme, you will have to buy liquid in 10 ml bottles including nic base, I am not up with the testing regs for liquid but they will increase the price and reduce the choice. At best it is terrible, at worst it is a disaster IMO.
