You'll be fine mate, this was never about us - its about them. The folk that now rely on their local B&M, the kids trying ecigs and preferring them to fags. People like my partner who love to smoke but want to have the option there.

word of mouth, this place and the Internet is more powerful than a tv advert.. Don't worry, they thought of that: Article 20, paragraph 5d: "any form of public or private contribution to any event, activity or individual person with the aim or direct or indirect effect of promoting electronic cigarettes and refill containers and involving or taking place in several Member States or otherwise having cross-border effects is prohibited;" I know they can't ban the internet - but arguably they're trying to where ecigs are involved. I seem to recall the word contribution being the key word word here which you conveniently overlook, Clive B interprets it very well if you've just missed it. Maybe the govt will set up Internet vaping police, talk about sensationalism in the media !

I believe nowt will change, i could be wrong, but so could you I don't pretend to know what will happen next year spaniel . . . though my gut instinct tells me, that no Government department will spend time and resources and not look for a ' result ' of some sort when it comes to the legislating of our habit. They are concerned with achieving targets - we are one. I sincerely hope I am wrong. Sure there will be ways & means and for those of us in the ' loop ' already, we've either taken measures to protect our vaping future, or we'll find a way of continuing. However, for smokers in the future to deny them the opportunity to find a credible, more healthy means of satisfying a nicotine habit - that has to be worth a fight surely?

letsavit I know you vape tanks bigger than 2 ml those will be gone, they could use the "leak proof" & "dose per puff" to kill most everything if they choose to be extreme, you will have to buy liquid in 10 ml bottles including nic base, I am not up with the testing regs for liquid but they will increase the price and reduce the choice. At best it is terrible, at worst it is a disaster IMO. The liquid and nic concerns me, tanks we will be able to buy for us and others, I'm sure* *i really hope I'm bloody right on this one for once. you may well not be..... HMRC will be even stricter on packets from certain well-known chinese retailers coming in to the country, ebay will enforce their policy more strictly, won't be able to get a protank/nauti/atlants/(sub any tank name in here), no more buying nic base by the litre, etc., etc., these are very real threats to vaping happening by next april, the only issue is how strong are the UK-interpreted regs going to be.... did you see the recent proposal by the Danish govt? That was TPD-inspired, and it was effin' scary ....

The Danish inspired TPD was a cut n paste of article 20. they appear to be taking the most rigours interpretation. the first step being, everything needs to apply for market approval 6 months before going on sale. Which means a minimum of half a year with nothing available, then only those things that gained marketing authorisation, which may take another few more months to be granted (if ever).
how many countries need to do this before the legal market is so small its pointless making anything?

Hence Perpetua and anyone else I am slowly lowering my nic/ml as nic interacts with my meds. I 'aint worried about tanks and atties. How can they possible tax cotton wool? Or wire? Just relabel it - have a stash as is and since using my Erl clone and improved mods am not needing to rewire every week! My improved mods were - a provari 2.5 and a ?zmax? from epuff in the sale And also my magnetos are still going strong and I have 3 of them Mods not a prob Tanks? I'm stocking up on Erl clones . and I have o-rings. - again - sorted Batteries are batteries Royal fail has already sorted them PG? Are they going to tax/regulate that? tis my only concern Jane

Many of my customers would really suffer if the UK implemented the TPD to the letter. Half of them complain when I close for 2 days in a row.
The TPD is very real and the people who use B&M stores need to be made aware of what could happen next year so they can prepare.
