Hi all,

Been vaping for a week now and although I've not given up stinkey's fully (dependency kicks in while my Series - E is charging) I'm down to maybe 4 a day from 20+ so that's good.

Looking to improve both the quality and quantity of my gear over the fullness of time and the wife has started on C4's (she reckons the Series - E is too big) but as she gets frustrated with battery life and frequent refills maybe she'll reconsider.

My hobby is radio controlled cars (electric powered) so I think I'll be looking at our power sources as see how I can adapt / use some of the charging / battery management systems I use for RC into vaping, although I suspect 7A / 7.4V cells with 180A instantaneous discharge may be a bit overkill for vaping .  Mind you, a controlled charge at 16A would be handy

One quick question, on my AeroTank v2 I get a "crackling" sound, doesn't seem to do any harm or impact the working, just a bit annoying.. how do I fix that?

don't worry about a crackling sound, a crackling coil is a good coil!

The crackling sound is the sound of a healthy coil heating your juice. It is louder with a new fresh coil installed. Nothing to worry about.

I got a few old RC's in the shed, a LST and a great big 1/5 petrol baja thing.... Got a couple of chargers too but stick with the plug and play recommended vaping chargers....

Anyway welcome to the healthy hobby of buying and building vaping stuff...

As mentioned a crackling coil is a cracking coil! As the coil gets gunked up with caramelised deposits from your juice this will diminish, until the coil is knackered and no longer doing its job. Time to swap for a new coil
As you will no doubt be aware, toying with high powered batteries near to your face is not sensible; best to stick with the many different vaping devices rather than using your R/C knowledge to try ideas out.
