Hi all, A bit of background / scene setting... Just got into vaping a week or so ago and it's going swimmingly well Without busting the bank I'm looking to be get a couple more atomizers so that I can "swap" between flavors as the mood takes me and experiment to find out what I like and don't like. As an almost ex-pipe smoker I'm used to having different tobaccos during any given day and would like to keep that with vaping so that I can go from a (for example) fruity / custard / other without having to clean out and re-prime with a new flavor. Further down the line I want to be able to rebuild the coils as it seems fairly easy (hah! I'll probably eat my words) and significantly cheaper than buying a load of coils. I'm not into clouds, so looking for a inexpensive rebuildable which provides good flavor. If there's nothing suitable then I'd consider a regular non-rebuildable but this would mean I'd have to spend again later on for rebuildables.... Advice and suggestions please

I'm going to suggest the Kangertech Subtank Mini as it takes both coil heads and a rebuildable base, giving the best of both worlds. It's very popular on here.

Have to agree with syd here. I was late to the Subtank, but it's a great tank.

I'm not completely up on the latest clearo's with replaceable attomisers (as all my tanks are rebuildables). But 2 of the best i know off are, Beyond Vape Silo and Aspire Nautilus MINI (both use same attys, bottom vertical coils for superb flavour). Hope this helps a little.

OK bit of further info needed. What devices do you use? Mech mods istick etc? Reason I ask is the subtank mini has 2 types of coil 0.5 ( sub ohm) and a 1.2 ohm coil. It also comes with a rebuildable deck. You need to check what OMS your device can fire. Anouther tank I'd reccomend is the protank 2 with the additional AFC base. Reason being is the coils are really easy to rebuild,re wick. Failing that a kayfun lite is a full rba that gives a great vape. More info on your kit can help us help you further. You will also need something to read ohms with is a mod with display or a ohms Meter. Sniped by Ripshod

I like the look of the kangertech subtank mini, but it appears to be power hungry so would a Vamo v5 be suitable (I doubt my JAC Vapour Series-E is up to it)? At £23 it's right at the top of my price range I've got an Innokin MVP v3 in the post from China but that's a week or 3 away - I'm sure that could cope

Yes the MVP 3 will be ideal. I have just got the subtank mini a d at 0.5 ohms its juice hungry. I still reckon try a kayfun ,lemo,or for smaller tank protank 2 and recoil the heads.

Well I'm going to go against the flow and say don't get a Subtank. Now I think the mini Subtank is an outstanding atty and it's pretty much all ive being using for the last month or two. But for me, and despite some using them to the contrary, the Subtanks are best at relatively high power and for lung inhales. I'd leave the rebuildables for now and recommend a nautilus. If your set on a Rebuildable perhaps consider a kayfun plus as a starting point A Protank is also a decent call, bit of a step down from the kayfun and event he nautilus but still a leap forward from what your using now and a great starting point to learn to rebuild on.

If you want something for juice experimentation then i would suggest an RDA/Dripper, hassle free taste testing just wet your wick, test your juice and all you have to do is pull the wick out rinse the dripper under the tap and rewick to test the next flavour, no tank draining or juice wasted.
Rebuildable tanks i would go for the Lemo or Subtank Mini, both are as easy as it gets to set up and both perform really well. The Lemo 2 is just hitting the shelves so you might find vendors dropping prices on the original soon to get rid of stock.

I'd highly recommend an Aerotank, although dual coil, I use the Kanger single coils with an extra chimney grommet, easy to be rebuild (microcoil and cotton wool) it's great for an everyday tank and is made of stainless steel. I usually buy a v1 Aerotank from China and replace the airflow controller with a v2 or v3 airflow controller, works out cheaper than buying the full v2 kit. I also use Kayfun 2.1 Lite bases with a bellcap (from China too), I don't seem to get any leakage problems using the bellcap and it's cheaper buying the base and bellcap seperatelty than buying the full Kayfun kit.

If you are a pipe man I would say a dripper would be right up your street...
Have a look at something like a Magma as your first RDA.
Really simple to build on, single or dual coil, good airflow options that I'm sure will suit your needs, deep juice well and you can get clones for cheap either from China or the UK.
Only downside is it's quite a large pin, non adjustable and its a bit big.
If you want some suggestions on some smaller flavour chaser RDA's have a look at Derringer, Freakshow Mini, Haze Mini, Rogue, Omertà and Hobo. All a bit different in their own right.
All are smaller and in essence a bit more fiddly to build on but the flavour is worth it.
One of the main benefits of RDA's is the ease in which to switch flavours...

I'm intrigued how you get a kayfun mini base to fit with a bell cap? Or did you mean a 3.1 base?
