Many years ago, my local boozer was "The Anchor" in Lewisham, London. A stranger came in to watch the racing, (which was on TV in those days), and said that he'd seen the pub just as he was going into the bookies opposite. He looked at the racing form for a while and saw that a horse called "Anchorman" was running in the next race. He put his money on a few horses in different races, and thought he'd go and have a beer while he watched the TV. He went back to the bookie and put £5 on Anchorman. Came into the pub and told us what he had done. Much laughing was had as it was a rank outsider.
