Making Labradoodles

Put my dog to two Labrador bitches today.

A lot of interest, sniffing and licking, but no action.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Has your dog mated before jevans?

It doesn't always follow that putting a dog to in-season bitches will mean that they just get on and ' do it '.

YW Jim . . . I should think your lad is spoilt for choice! It's a lot to ask if he's not had previous experience as a Stud Dog.

Incidentally, we met once of these gorgeous Goldendoddles on our walk at lunch time . . . .

They may not be 100% ready, when i had my old stud dog, he would only 'do the business' when they were 100% ready.
Just bring the bitches back every 2 days or if they are local, every day and let them try.

Also imo it would be better to just do 1 bitch at a time, even if he ties with the second bitch soon after the first, he 'seed' will not be as strong.
So give him a 24 hour break to recover

He was! I did a double take when I first spotted him galloping around the Common.
