I started a couple of weeks ago (beginning of April) and during the first couple of days I had the occasional stinky (while waiting for my ego to recharge) but I then bought another battery and haven't had once since.. and I was a 20+ a day smoker for over 40 years plus I used to smoke a pipe... I'm flogging them on ebay now to fund my addiction to shineyitis.

Stay with it, it's the best nicotine replacement therapy available...

Thanks for the article, some good info there. I am currently experiencing dry skin on my face and ears for the first time ever. I have increased my fluid intake for the last 3 weeks but it hasn't made any difference. I am going to lower my PG intake and see if that helps. I currently use two juices one is 60/40pg/vg  and the other is 50/50 . What percentage do you think I should try to see if it is a PG issue? Understand there are wicking and flavour issues with too much VG. Appreciate your thoughts.

I tend to go for 70VG and have no probs with flavour or wicking

You will experience a lot of changes to your body as you rid yourself of the chemicals that are in cigarettes. Most of them will be good changes, but sometimes your body overcompensates for this change.

Whatever happens, you can be sure that you are healthier. The dry mouth/skin can be addressed as above, by drinking water.

Starting on 100%vg may not be the best way to go? most users start 80/20 or 70/30 pg/vg as that is what the majority of juices are, i.e. 90%, but drinking more water is definitely recommended either way.

jacq .I'd advise one of the popular, for a good reason imo, flavours to try, Red Astaire is a fruity, mentholy, fizzy sort of taste and I reckon it's good one!

im only a noobie in here and too vaping -3 weeks, im mixing my own juice some 100% VG +nic +fruit flavour and some 50/50 PG/VG +nic +flavour, Dry Mouth BIG time and what feels like peeling skin on my forehead?? looks ok in the mirror tho, in addition to drinking more water/fluids im also rinsing my mouth out with corsodyl and generic chlorhexidine mouth wash to promote healthy gums and its very good at encouraging the natural saliva production - probably cos it tastes so vile.. a dry mouth can lead to gum/tooth probs so beware..

some really good advice above.

a little history of my story might help.
i gave up 2 years ago using a cig-a-like from sky cig (now called Blu) but i also had a patch on as they just didnt cut the mustard and i was tempted after every meal to grab a stinkie. i managed 3 months after smoking for 35 years. a very stressful day at hospital saving lives just tipped me over the edge and an ambulance driver offered me a stinkie. that was it, i bought a packet an hour later and that was me back to 20 a day.

roll on 2 years.
9 weeks ago we had an engineer turn up at my department who saw my packet of fags and he asked where he could go and vape as vapeing is also banned. i took him to our smoking shelter and saw he had a tank mod which i had never seen before. one puff and i was hooked.
thinking i didnt want to spend too much at first i bought a Blu pro kit which took e liquid and that was it for me. instantly stopped overnight. no patches and hardly any cravings.
the collection of flavors started getting bigger and bigger and a month ago i bought a istick30 with a nautilus mini tank and the rest was history.
ive now got 51 various flavor bottles next to me and i never get tired changing so i dont get bored with one flavor.
last night was my hardest night to date. i went out for a chinese meal and every one smoked and there was me puffing on my istick. i was so SO tempted but now i look back im glad i didnt.

e cigs and tanks certainly do help but a little will power is also needed. get over that first hurdle and you will get there.

Thanks so much for your help. I'm using a spinner 2 at the mo and a protank 2 or mini nautilus. They're great! Its still early days for me and I'll check out your e liquids that you mentioned to keep me interested! Have the occasional stinky but it's usually when I'm with someone who's smoking them. Thinking of getting an I stick 30w as one of my spinners is on the blink. Is this a good idea for a beginner, what is the difference I will experience?
