Thanks chrisjw, not going to disturb many people taking my coolbox and bbq through the site on a trolley before I turn in, it is too heavy to carry and too expensive to leave outside.

Hee hee! I kinda like that idea chrisjw ! I thought you might......................... after all, everyone bangs on about us all being one big family, so why not make it reality.........Probably be chucking up a bit in there come morning, what with the rancid food leftovers & beer induced wind being bounced about, but you'll all be too pissed to notice...... Where do you leave your stuff in the day as well, I have never had this camping in the UK or Europe the car has always been the safe place. I am happy to not move the car and turn on it's stereo all weekend, if I had my old transit I could have blagged it as a camper van. Last year I brought a load of spares, coiling stuff and tools, but not now, gonna have to cut down on what I bring.

Although I didn't camp last year I do remember talk of a mini with loud exhaust driving around during the night.......for me it was going to make life easier especially as an anti camper but it is what it is.......how many cars can fit inside the marquee.....lol

Crazy, one twatt in a mini with a loud exhaust shapes the rules for everyone. I know as vapers we should be used to the principle of selective samples used to make bad laws, but this time vapers are making the rules. I was going to bring at least £600 replace cost stuff that is easily stolen that I could have locked in the car in normal fashion and causing no harm, cost or inconvenience to anyone else. I don't know what to do now, it is just crazy.
It make banning vaping from pubs seem reasonable.

well i was going to sleep in the car but kinda glad im getting cut up instead there is no way i would leave my car in a car park all weekend even though it has its own cctv its going to get broken in to by the local crooks who will be geared up and ready for this week end so dont leave yer valuables in the car daft as it sounds i dont think ill be going vf next year if this rule stays take a deposit for good behaviour if necessarily and or ban all subwoofers(box bit in boot of car that go boom boom boom its a 2 min job to remove and no need for it in campsite) im really shocked by this is a security nightmare

Since I am a seasoned tenter, when it came to buying a new rucksack, which I had to do for this year, I got a bigun (85l) that also has a removable daysack (20l). All my valuables go in the daysack and all the stuff I aint so worried about (cooking gear, clothes etc.) go in the main sack and will be left a la tent.

I don't know what to do now, it is just crazy. Although not directly affected . . . . I am disappointed and saddened that this last minute ruling has the potential to spoil the event for many who are camping VB. Are we certain there is no room for negotiation with the organisers?

Lets hop so Thanks for the backpack idea guy, I have several, but there is a lot of stuff that wouldn't fit besides the hassle of that.

Just spoke to rick and cars will only be aloud to drop of the gear and then must park in the car park. This is due to people playing loud music and driving around the site late at night. Which I think is toattaly understandable:-( So we won't be allowed to stay in a van in the camping area?

There was a group shouting for theirs late at night/early hours last year .. just saying ...
