I've got a Slybox, Had it for about two years and they're great if you've got decent broadband!!! I got myself an Amazon Firestick the other day basically just for Netflix, I sideloaded Kodi using Adbfire and it performs really well, No buffering on videos and not sluggish at all!!! For Thirty Five quid they're a no brainer!!!

That does look a like a good spec mike weaver93, 2GB ram as well, most of them are 1GB. I`m presuming you control it by an app on your android phone?not sure pal.. I watch Vdubt25 channel on youtube, he does reviews of tv boxes & great guides on Kodi... Anyway... He did a recent review on Xumm box, came with a useless remote.., basically unusable, so he recommended buying an air-mouse.. difference was night & day.... |

Phoenix & Film Dictator are great add-ons.....The latter is via MetalKettle, I believe......Sparkys Stream is/was great for sport......Unfortunately, someone threw a spanner in the works yesterday & it was apparently removed, although mine was working last night.

the sly box does look a easier option or am i wrong? looks around 50 uk pounds off ebay, just noticed that they are not wireless so that would be a problem - this is not for me then

problems with the chinese cheapo android tv boxes is the premium services like netflix demand faster drm decoding than the s/w solutions can currently cope with resulting in lags and buffering issues. a simple solution is to use a 2nd device like your phone (if smart) or lappy/pc/tablet to stream the premium service and use the miricast feature to cast the stream to the el cheapo tv box.
