The danger of lithium ion batteries..
Thankfully they are manufactured under strict regulations though accidents do happen. Something for the modders to remember, especially if they are stacking batteries.

VTTalk majored on this tonight. The news reports were very thin on real facts and very big on alarmism (though what happened is pretty horrific).
It will be interesting to find out really what happened, I think the biggest danger comes from the cloners, knock-offs and fakes that tend to find their way to market (IMO).

My camera battery is lithium-ion could be a sore one if that exploded in my eye, shame it had to be an e-cigarette hope it doesn't put people off, Poor Man , hope he recovers well

When people try and put Lithium cells in their own homes without fully being aware of the dangers of working with Li-ion cells and without sufficient equipment to test them, something like this is inevitable.
