I live on Crown estate property but own it on lease, applied 6 months ago for permisssion to build conservatory, £2500 down the pan they just replied, want £40.000 in fees for me to build a £20.000 conservatory, what planet these people on, they pirates, preparing my little car to board their office in Regent street, not got cutlass but a very nasty bread knife lol, i'm just shocked.

What was the justification for the fees? Forget the fees who in their right mind would pay anywhere near 20K for a conservatory ?
