I just had my Janty Neo arrive, I wanted a sensible size kit to go out and about wiyh, one that looked nice but didn't look huge or weird to general folks out there who are unaware of what vaping is. Purchased from Janty France, took 2 days to come, posted yesterday at 4 o clock-ish, got here at 11:30 this morning. Excited, I opened it up, looks well nice up close, very well made, I ordered the auto flow version, and thought this will do me nicely, especially as everyone has pinched my Ego batteries and my SDK, I had nothing small and neat left. The Puromizers were drenched in primer, so blew them out and cleaned them up, put one battery on charge and started to use the other, well, what the heck is this I thought, I am sucking like there is no tomorrow and getting hardly anything out of it ??? Not impressed Tried the other Puomizer, same thing, argh, so put the Puromizer on another device, got a bit more but nowt much at all, made a cuppa, same thing, nothing much at all other than beautiful flavour coming through, really lovely flavour, when I could suck hard enough to get anything About an hour later, I changed the batteries over, wow really beautiful, easy draw, lots of vapour but above all the flavour isn't far from dripping now I am getting really pleased, will wait till the other battery is fully charged and make sure that is the problem with it, but all in all, nice cheap little ecig for out and about, though I expect, if this flavour continues I will definately be using it more than for just out and about The Puromizer seem to want to sit for a bit when new, like many other atty's need to but I wanted to get straight in lol now they are performing beautifully, a real nice kit I think.

I don't blame him one bit either Mark, I'm just gobsmacked at Janty for making such demands! How dare they?
Having said that, it was probably just one jumped up little *wotsit* who took the decision into his own hands to write that letter. Pffft. I'm sure Scott didn't lose any sleep over it.

It's a standard PR newby's faux pas - seen it dozens of times when I was the editor of Practical PC. They send out a list of requests/demands because their uni course told them to, told them that they had some sort of sway over journos. When we saw the email at VTTV, we simply contacted Janty and said "we don't do that here", they said, more or less, "yeah, sorry 'bout that" and that was an end to it. Of course, if somebody does agree to it, then the PR bunny knows who s/he can manipulate. Like I say, it's a standard trick, and nothing unusual.

I never knew that Dave, you learn something new every day! Still bad though, Janty haven't done themselves any favours trying to pull a trick like that, then initially denying it.

As I say, it's pretty standard fare. There are certain PR folks's phrases that journos take notice of, and some they just don't. For instance, an embargo - you'd normally see "Embargoed until 12noon 23/03/2012" and the vast majority of journos would respect that, and not publish until the date and time were past. If there's an embargo, there's normally a reason for it.
You'll often get "notes for guidance", which are, to the initiated, a good guide to where the problems might lie, since the guidance the PRs give is to try to lead you away from any pitfalls they know of - in other words, how to get the best out of the kit.
A seasoned PR person, though, knows that any request for transferal of copyright will be met by a stone wall, and any hope they have of trying to massage a format or storyboard is vanishingly small, so they don't even bother trying - but the youngsters fresh out of uni don't have that experience. They should also know that there's no hope of getting raw footage from any half decent outfit. That's a lot like publishing pictures of your granny naked - not gonna happen. They learn quick enough, then another bunch comes along.

Yes Des it's the Auto, esay to fill, they are quite good, I like them, still going to get the Imist atty's off of Daz when he gets them back in, hoping they will go well on these batteries as well, tbh it was a toss up between the two and I decided I would go for both-as they both have lots of good reviews
