hello all, i've had an ecigarette for around a year and really do like it. I'm currently using american red 70%pg/ 30% vg with 6,12 and 18mg nicotine which to me tastes great. Sometimes I'm having a little bit of a tight chest from it. Is this any cause for concern? I've tried 100% vg which dispels chest tightness but don't get any kind of hit at the back of the throat that I have with a cigarette or PG liquid.
My question is what's the healthiest (VG?) tobacco tasting liquid where you have a hit like smoking the real thing?
Any help or links to suppliers would be much appreciated. If it matters I have a P3 and nautilus chamber.

You might have a sensitivity to pg. As with 100% VG it dissapered. Have you tried useing a50/50 mix or 30/70 lower pg . Anouther option is to go the Diy route making higher VG liquids and useing this to get the throat hit you want. www.flavourart.co.uk/bitextra-enhancer-100ml.htmlAnouther way is to add a drop of this to your high VG liquid decadentvapours.com/shop/flavours/diablo-poco-2/Essentially throat hit is just irritation and capsicum has been used for years to achieve the same thing in medical tests and in eliquid. Add 5-10 drops to 10 mil and try.

Igual that's brilliant advice, thanks very much. I'm amazed at how many liquids are out there and assumed when I first started reading this forum that mixes were just 2 * ready made liquids, not additives. I'm going to order them both and give them a whirl with some 100% VG's.
thanks very much for your help!

Yep thanks for the links igual . Im currently about 85 to 90%VG at 4mg and sometimes miss the ole TH as to much PG gives me the tight chest feeling like 40 rollies used to.

If you use the bite extra it is pg based so make sure you account for that in your workings out.

I'm sensitive to PG too fraser, I know how bad it can get, and how down it can make you feel. I'm at 80%VG (can only get my concentrates in PG atm) and if I overdo it the pain comes back. I really do feel for you. Can be frustrating at times - almost enough to send me back to the tobacconist

+1 for using BiteXtra from FlavourArt. I use 50/50 VG PG. Get enough of a hit and no ill effects. We all have different reactions to these things of course.

The bite extra is extremely cheap - 100ml for £8. Looking at the sites flavoured mixes on offer, I don't know where to start. Do most people have a large collection on VG's that they mix together experimenting? I'm imagining a lot looking like Gandalf! Or is there a set list of mixes people follow like with cocktails?

Ripshod I'm sorry to hear you have a reaction to PG too. I don't have too many ill effects apart from a slightly tight chest. To be fair I've been smoking it non-stop recently with 18mg nicotine so it's probably just a good sign that I need to cut down anyway. Have you tried reducing nicotine?
Don't go back to the real smokes mate!

Don't worry fraser, I'm a confirmed vaper now. I've been vaping 7mg for a while now, soon to drop to 4. Wasn't just the chest though, shoulders and upper arms were affected too. Think two frozen shoulders. Doesn't help that I chain vape a dripper though If I could find my favourite concentrates in VG I'd be made

jackcustard recently kindly gave Me some 'Father Gallon's Ruin' by B-Juice. Despite being 93% VG & only 9mg. Nic., I was surprised that it still had a fair TH to it....& fairly 'Tobacco-ish'!

I have liquids that don't seem to hit even though they are 60/40 and 70/30

Not sure on the bite extra assuming its got an additive to increase the harshness essentially, and you would need more of this so will change the nic and flavour levels a fair bit. They suggest 20% to start. But with the chilli you'd only need a few drops but will add a bit of spicy heat as well
