I posted a while ago about being stuck in a rut with vaping, having some tanks that I was happy with, and not really yearning after anything else. Unfortunately I can be a bit closed minded about some things, I know what I like etc. and not wanting to move on. But anyway, anyone with the slightest interest in vaping can't have failed to notice the huge buzz around the Subtank and I'm no exception, but most of the opinions I'd seen about it tended to say it's not really suitable for MTL vaping which is what I normally do.
So I took a leap into the unknown and visited my local B & M and came away with a shiny new Subtank Mini clutched in my sweaty paw.
Got it home and reverted to type, closing off the airflow and vaping it MTL. Yuk. Not good, so I opened up the airflow and did a big direct lung inhale. When I'd picked myself up off the floor with my head swimming I headed back to the Nobacconist for some lower nic juice. I came away with some Vampire Vapes Pinkman on the recommendation of the guy in the shop. I was a little apprehensive because I've found VV can be a mixed bag but I liked the Heisenberg so gave it a try.
All I can say is...WOW. The flavour!!!! I didn't think I'd like direct lung inhales but now I can see why people do it. I'll probably still chain Vape MTL on the NV Midi when I'm drinking but for out and about when I can only take an occasional drag the Subtank is perfect. Did I mention THE FLAVOUR!!!!, and there's also something so viscerally satisfying about blowing out a huge plume of vapour.
Before anyone points out that VV juice is 70PG, which is very harsh on the throat, I've been feverishly ordering higher VG juice. How big are the clouds going to be with 60 or 70 VG?! And again WOW, THE FLAVOUR!!
I think I can say I'm a born again cloud chaser. All of a sudden throat hit doesn't seem so important.

Good for you. First, the iStick ruined my vape-sperience (all my other mods were rubbish in comparison) and then the Subtank has more or less killed off all my old (and not so gold) clearos/atomisers. I'm trying to wean myself back on to mini Nautilus, but it's not going so well.

If you manage to MTL for much longer HaroldTheBarrel, you deserve praise. Once I discovered lung hits, it was mere hours before I couldn't use older MTL gear. Let us know how it goes. I suspect you are now a dedicated cloud blower

got myself one of those bad boys today as well and bye bye mini nautilus hello lung hits.
im lucky as most of my liquid is 0 nic and like you i was a bit apprehensive at first but after the first drag i was hooked.
the flavor is outstanding compared to the naut but i will still use that now and again.
so far ive tried mothers milk(suicide bunny), sweet voodoo(el diablo), clotted cream fudge and banana maple and pecan(drip drop) and the flavors are off the scale. so far drip drop are winning.

I got my first subtank on Thursday after upgrading from kit egos and disposable clearomizers. I switch between MTL and direct depending on how the mood takes me and find the sub tank manages both quite well. I have found though I'm caning a lot of juice. I was on 5-10ml a week, I've done about 20ml since Thursday! lairey, I'll be coming in tomorrow for some more cherry cola! I burned my 0.5 ohm coil out today, is that normal? Admittedly I was burning it for 15 secs to see if my Cloupor mini is likely to burst into flames. I'm pleased to say it isn't but when I took a massive lung vape, all I could taste was burned cotton. On a plus note, I built my first RBA, it's so easy! And has made a massive difference ......... I'm sure there's loads of attys out there I will get on with but for the meantime, the sub gets my vote all day long!

If your firing for 15 seconds without inhaling to replenish juice to the wick then it's inevitable you'll burn a cotton wick.

Damned YouTube making me burn my coil out! Ah well, gave me the opportunity to try a RBA Don't believe everything you see on utube. The early Cloupers had problems, but it was sorted very quickly. The serial number tells you which ones to worry about. Should have asked here really. Never mind. It's only a burnt coil. Which you can rebuild once you get into things more. Keep the heads when they are redundant. Maybe prr will recoil them for you until you get set up. He is very good at it

Well, I must admit that I'm a recent convert to DLI vaping as opposed to MTL (almost sounds like I know what I'm on bout, doesn't it!?). I have a couple of Taifuns which are my daily vapes, with Kayfuns for other flavours in the evenings. However I have a horrible feeling that these will now take an back seat to the iSub which I got on Saturday, and which I have demolished almost 15ml of Yorkshire Vaper's Strawberry Cheesecake with in just over 24 hours! Like the Subtank, it is amazing what you can get out of it in terms of flavour and vpour even at a measly 20w, although I now prefer 25w minimum. With my juice stocks a bit low at the moment until I get my next concentrate delivery from CV, I will be restricting myself to using it in the evenings only until further notice

Fine for me as I'm just a beginner lung hitter.,... Mrs postie has my goblin.... Wanna buy a Kayfun or 5...
