Following the logic of "you are not a true horse rider until you've fallen off" one could say you are not a true vaper until you have survived a gobful of e-juice, spilling it all over yourself and/or your lunch or inadvertently rubbing your eyes with hands covered in the stuff (I haven't gone quite as far as dee as in actually pouring the stuff into my eye - that is stunt woman territory and a definite do not try this at home scenario).
Just treat your ejuice with respect and remember the basic hygiene and safe use rules and keep away from kids/pets and you should be fine.

And the immediate response is to rub your eyes - which so does not help if it is on your hands as well.

and to think that every time we lit up, the house could have potentially burnt down! how many folk worried about that?! no..puff puff..whilst balancing the ashtray on the arm of the sofa etc
seriously though, if you get eliquid on your skin, just wash it off as soon as possible!

40 - 60mg of nicotine is considered a lethal dose in adults. For 24mg based liquid that's near 3ml of liquid (It's 24mg per ml) and you'd have to absorb all of it at once which I don't think you could do even if you spilled 3ml on you.
Unless you plan on drinking whole bottles of high strength nicotine, you'll be ok. Though, I've seen some people use 36 - 42mg strength liquids and vape upwards of 10ml a day which to me is just insane as I can't go over 4ml of 12mg per day or I'll really feel it.
So absorption rate is a huge factor it seems, whether you inhale it or get it on your skin.

I got a couple of mills of 24mg juice in my mouth yesterday, felt weird for a while, light headed, dizzy and very tired, it soon went away, and alas, I'm still alive woohooo.

On a more serious note, if you do accidentally get it in your eyes, keep running cool water into your hand and wash you eye constantly for a short while. I'd done it because I had a bottle of eye drops in one dressing gown pocket and a bottle of eliquid in the other! I did initially panic as it felt as though I'd poured raw acid into my eye, but after 10 minutes of sluishing it, it was a bit red but otherwise unharmed
