Subtank Plus – first thoughts Firstly, this is a quality thing. Superb manufacturing. The threading is superb and buttery smooth. Very nice looking bit of kit. I’m not going to fill this with pictures as we’ve all seen them and if not google is your friend. I’m a sub-ohm tank virgin. I want to make that clear from the start. I went straight from step 1 to step 3………Evod and carto’s to more power and drippers…..so I completely bypassed the whole kaifun, taifun, genny, russian thing completely. So, for me personally, using this feels like a tiny step backwards. I can’t draw on this thing the way I want to……or am used to. Even with the airflow wide open. But I can fix that with a small bit of drilling……apparently. The mouthpiece gets really hot…….but again hopefully more airflow……or a longer drip tip….. will help that. Out of the box…..with the rba deck……….it gurgled for like the first 25 draws…..even with the PWM. But I guess that was my fault as I was probably drawing on it too hard and flooding the chamber. Now I’ve “retrained” it’s going really good at 35w (4.6v) on the included 0.6 ohm coil on the rba deck. I haven’t tried the OCC heads yet. Flavour is good. Using some home-made Raspberry Ripple ice cream……..and the raspberry really comes through…..probably more so than on any dripper I’ve used. Not sure yet if that’s down to the tank and that it’s a really small chamber condensing the vapour and intensifying the flavour……or the included Japanese cotton……my first go on that too. I need to try another juice or two to tell. So, first impressions are good-ish. Is it something I can see myself using regularly? Maybe. Yes….it probably is. I can see me using it more on car journeys……..or on nights I’m feeling lazy………as I do still like swapping juices regularly and messing about with coil builds. More from me when I’ve tried the OCC heads and a few more juices………and maybe some drilling

That's a photo of the original subtank, the plus it's same size but uses the same rebuildable base as the mini ( and has a decent normal 510 connection)

Much better airflow with the OCC heads.....I'm using the 0.5 ohm one.......and it's bang on.
I'm confused by something though.......maybe someone can explain.
On the OCC heads the wick is halfway up the head.........unlike the rba head where the juice channels are at the bottom.
How am I going to finish the tank when the wicks on the OCC heads are at that height?

Did you drip some juice straight in the top of the head and soak the juice holes before using?

Yep
Not a terrible taste.......just a bit synthetic.
Either I got used to it.......or it's gone now anyway.

defo needs a prime first. drop some liquid on each air hole on either side of the occ and drop one down the barrel.
edit
primed mine, and now see what you mean. first coil out of a new box and it has a slight taste.

Not just me then.
I'm thinking it's a bit of oil......and it's not like you can dry fire these to burn it off.
