Hi Jane, that's a good point, from a medical pov I've replaced tobacco for another form of smoking ! That's what I'm always told anyway. Am still listed as a smoker ! Wonder when vaping gets added to medical forms ?

No search engine will ever be 100% accurate, especially when searching for 'smoking' and not 'smoking cessation'. If you look further down those results you'll find a pack of 10 Hamlets.

If you click the refine search links on the left of the page to filter the results, all the patches and gum but no ecigs show up under 'stop smoking' whereas the ecigs show up under 'smoking alternatives'

Anything that contains nicotine but isn't smoking will be called a smoking cessation device / smoking alternative.

Here in the UK the MHRA consider smoking cessation to be medicinal, if any
Vendor is silly enough to use such terms they are at risk of prosecution.
Most other countries take a similar view.
Hence vaping is legally a smoking alternative. Effectively there is a gagging order in place.
