Good article. I did like the comment by Mr Handsome:

Yes we must jail e cigarette users in a similar way we jail cannabis users. We cannot have potential business capitol being lost to these cheaper, safer alternatives. We must protect the interests of our Corporate masters.

The headline figure shows 2.6 million users of ecigs in the UK now.
Many are lamenting that this number should have been higher. Yes, if the press hadn't rushed to publish misleading headlines, that might have been higher.
But look a bit closer, there are now 500,000 new users of ecigs in the last 12 months.
Not a number to be sniffed at. The really exciting number though is how many new non smokers:
400,000
That's an astronomical number of new non smokers in just 12 months.
There has never been anything close to that before. It's a number that just blows my mind, 400,000 people have successfully quit smoking since this time last year.
To put it another way: 80% of the rise in ecig users have successfully quit in the last 365 days.

All of which makes the TPD even more of a scandal and a travesty than it already is.

There are going to be a lot of unhappy people next year.

If we say 20 a day average, at £9 a pack, that's £3613,500,000 in lost revenue per year
Just from those that have fully switched.
That might be why there is a little resistance to ecigs.
