In my opinion, and I'm no expert, temp control Is well worth it Roscopecotrain been using It for a couple of hours deliberately trying to get a dry or burnt hit and so far nothing it jhst wont let me do it 
hope yours arrives soon, practice your nickle coils while you are waiting lol

Sorry to here that, I think Its pot luck whether it goes right or not, must say this temp control is the mutts nuts, I cant get a bad draw, no matter how hard i try. Keep trying, practice makes perfect and all that

Cant at the moment, got a full tank in my kayfun, and i dont want to loose the juice, will try and post something when its empty.working out ithe dna40 chip was the worst, do 12 wraps of nickle on a 2.5mm jig, fit on your base, cut the tails then lift the coil a mm or so, put on your mod, turn off temp control then fire like you would with a kanthal build, when your happy, let it cool put in cotton or whatevervyou are using, put into temp control, set the temp, try to fire, It will just stop heating the coil, prime the wick and coil, leave for a minute then fire, the coil will heat and you get vapor production, test ohms put together atty, fill her up and away you go, just play around to get your settings how you like them, I am currently at 470f, 30watts and a 0.17ohm coil, works a treat

Here is Kayfun build I did with rayon & twisted 0.16 mm, but you should be able to use 0.25 mm non twisted, just keep over 0.1 ohm and you get fewer probs with non-touching coils.  If the temp limit come in too fast you either have a prob like a short between loops or bad connection or you need a bigger coil to spread the heat.

It is nice to work with and keeps it shape better than annealed, the act of twisting it is a bit like tempering, but it is a PITA with cheap through hole connections like my Orchid clones and had to do triple twisted to get a reliable connection.
I use 0.16 mm (34 AWG) and for single coil you would be better off with 0.2 mm.

You don't set watts in TC mode you just set the temp and thats it, which is exactly how i said Evolv should have done their chips, why they designed theirs so the user had to manually dial in the watts is beyond me.

Personally like being able to adjust both, when you first think temp control just temperature sounds like the way to go and I though so. But after using since October I like have both adjustments, the watts are adjusted far more that the temp in my case. I would say set your temp to the sweet spot for your juice and the watts + airflow for the denseness of the vape.

Am really looking forward to getting my dovpo and finally being able to play with tc myself using my friends m class for a weekend sold me totally on tc the vape was just more consistent and the subtle flavours were more noticeable although that might just have been me. Find myself wishing my life away for the GB pre sale to end and them send me my new time consumer .

Have been using the temp control since making the coil, I have to say the vape is better than anything else i have ever tried, definitely a more consistent vape
