I found it smoother if that's possible, also have a try at adjusting the temp up or down slightly, you will be amazed at the change a shift of a few degrees can make.

glen car147 VapingBad are you guys using 28awg nickel? I need to order some wire before that Zero turns up lol. I will only be doing single coils in Kayfuns, Squape etc. so just wondering whats the best thickness to get.

34 AWG 0.16 mm from America, twisted + dual coils, I would either use 3 strands twisted, 2 strand twisted 32 AWG 0.2 mm or single 0.25 - 0.3 for a Kayfun, but I have not done one for months and 0.3 mm is the largest gauge I have so my choices are probably not suitable.

I have used 28awg from the start of using TC devices, mainly because I just recoil the Occ heads on my Subtanks, I do have other gauges but it's the one thing I have not done much experimenting with as I have been happy with the vape so far. More of a don't mess with it if not broken attitude.

Temperature control is what many users call it, to be fair afaik Evolv have never mentioned TC but rather wattage control, temperature protection/ limiting with preheat. It can and is used by many as a TC device, but used as a wattage controlled temperature limiting device as intended is the way to get the best out of it imo. I've posted many 0.20mm, 0.25mm and 0.1 x 0.5mm builds, all 2 strands twisted, so won't bore you with anymore here

To add to what @scooby & I have said with the Evolv regardless of the watts in temperature mode it will boost power for upto a second when you hit the button. The boost stops when either you are 100°F below your set temp or a second has passed, but the effect of this continues as you are already at a higher temperature than otherwise on most build setting combos. To feel this effect for your self just turn temp limiting off and you get a weaker vape in most cases than with the same sensible setup with temp limiting on. You can also vary the speed of inhale with you mood of passing fancy without having to adjust anything and still get a great vape.
Glad to read lots of peps noticing the way you can tune the flavour, I had been thinking it was a shame that some people had been labelling it as a gimmick or just good for stopping dry hits. It is a more versatile/accurate tool in your toolbox with even more to offer should you choose to learn how to use it in a way that best suits you.
I suggest that when you have a good setup keep turning the temp down to find the flavour sweet spot, remember airflow & wicking affect it. IMO always set the temp for you liquid, that will be lower than for the wick.

Really informative posts @scooby and VapingBad, I think I understand the concept of the temp protection/limiting after reading your posts, definitely agree with adjusting the settings to find your ideal setup, fortunately for me I very rarely change what liquid I am vaping, so now I have got the set up how I like it, I do not have to mess around too much, but can definitely see how that would work if you change flavours, thanks for the info, much appreciated

Not sure what it will be on the dovpo as that is a clone of the DNA40 but on the sx mini he sweet spot for me was 180°C and I noticed a difference between Fahrenheit & Celsius even supposedly at the same temp on the sx mini I'm not technical enough to know why but definitely was a difference on Fahrenheit it was hotter hoping the DNA clone will be more consistent.

Dont know if anyone else has noticed this, but my full tank of juice seems to be lasting longer, with the temp control, going from filling twice a day, to once, could be because I find the vape more satisfying,

Do you notice wicks and coils staying cleaner?
