first nickle coil build

All this temp control talk abd i still do not have mine. Have the wire ready, a kayfun ready. Just want to play now.

I think so, as with the pre-heat you don't need a primer puff apart from everything else.  Do you notice wicks and coils staying cleaner?

They definitely look cleaner, I took the tank apart for a nosey, and the only discolouration Is on the wick, but not the really dark colour i used to get, I vape hol cigarellos, and most tobacco liquids are known coil killers, but so far the coil has stayed almost pristine, happy days

My little dovpo is still on pre sale and I'm hearing more and more bad stuff about gearbest so the wait is really killing me. Before I ordered this from gearbest don't remember hearing much bad about them except time to deliver but now everyday I'm reading bad stuff lol funny how that seems to be the way.

So all my stuff turned up today. Tried putting a nickel build in the freakshow mini, the wire just keeps breaking when i screw down the post nuts. Is there a special way to get this right or do i just not tighten too much? My kayfun might be easier as i can wrap round the screws but the freakshow has little allen key nuts and i can only go through holes.

First thing is to sand the bottom of the screws smooth they often have a sharp edge, then just be careful.  I have heard that you can put thick kanthal under the nickel or double over the nickel at the terminal, but not done either myself.

Only tried on a kayfun, didnt over tighten, just till It bit, trial and error i think, good luck

Yea have a break and try again, temp control is easy when it's all up and working and hard was it isn't, it's just more sensitive to coils, connections etc. pretty sure all the experienced users here can say they have had jip at some point when starting out with it....

Thanks bulldog, it did occur to me after i put everything away that the connection at the 510 may not have been perfect as i did not adjust the pin. Was so excited about getting it all up and running i forgot the basic steps.

Hopefully have another go on the kayfun on Friday when i get home.

Having a play with numbers etc on steam engine and think i have the jist of it now.

What is all the heat flux stuff about? And the little picture of a flame that changes colour?
