Subtank problems

My Mr is having some problems with his subtank, it only seems to be the one juice but he has gone through 3 rba coils and one stock head in 24 hours!

The cotton is burning and the coil seems to be gunked. It's the same pg/VG ratio as the other juices we are using without any problems.

The juice is sold as our local vape shops own brand but I know they mix t-juice concentrates and sell them under their own brand, I suspect this is Red Astaire.

I'm using 26awg wire for the coils but it isn't causing any problems for me just the Mr with this juice. Help. He's ready to throw the subtank out the window and go back to the stinkies :-(

is it wicking properly? Is there enough wick in the Eva coil?

I only use rba section so not sure about stock heads

Also is the juice Channel clear? There is a build guide on here

I've tried a pancake build, I've tried a microcoil build and I've tried a standard spread out coil. He's vaped for less than 10 minutes at 10 watts on a .7ohm coil and it's burnt again. The wick is plenty wet when I'm pulling it apart.

is the juice extra thick? Perhaps ? if it is a little dillution with 5% boiled water or vodka may help?

I suspect that the B&M shop have mixed it at a higher ratio than stated on the label, probably by mistake. Red Astaire prefers a lower VG ratio, 50/50 or less for best results. I would try diluting it as phatfil says

Agreed I've had a few juices like this often high in ethyl maltol as we as high VG.
I'd try anouther liquid to rule any issues with the tank,mod out .
Diluting with some vodka or pg might help.

That's what I'd look at. if the mod is misreading the ohms for whatever reason it could be overpowering the atty. If it has an ohms readout check it a few times. Give both the 510 on the atty and on the mod a good clean and check again.

I mix my red astaire at 85%VG and don't have issues with any atty, Subtank mini at 30Watts  with the rebuildable deck at 0.5 ohms (pancake wicks/open coils) and sweet as sugar - unless it's chilly in the room or I use it outside in the cold

ETA: Are you dry burning the coils to clean them before rewicking - crud attracts crud

We gave up, changed the juice and wick and it's working like a dream now. Must be the juice, it can't be 4 coils and wicks. Going to try diluting it tomorrow. It's an iStick 30w he's using.
