Hey all..
soo.. I ordered a load of juices from easy liquid, the flavours are superb, but I ordered really low 1.1 because I want to cut my nic down, but think I ordered a bit too low strength and they don't seem to have the punch/throat hit the higher strength do..
Can I just add a little extra nic to them to sort of thing, I love the flavours just wish I had got stronger nic..
Thanks
M

Yes but it'll mute the flavour..
Be careful when you add e-nic to existing fluid and double check quantities though..I'd add enough to up it to about 15mg first to keep as much flavour as possible..

I know you can add a bit of vodka to improve throat hit, but i've never tried it

Strong flavours like cinammon, menthol, pepper and what used to be sold was q-hit which was like a peppery hit can increase the kick.
Higher pg ratios, higher voltage/lower resistance will have an effect.
Nicotine is the biggest factor for throat hit though so you will notice a step down. However, I find that it greatly depends on what you're used to.
I started on 510's, I wasn't good at using them and I had almost no throat hit. Then I got ego-T's and they were worse.
Then I kept the batteries and tried cartomisers. It was better but I didn't like filling them so often.
I got a pair of Kr808d-1 batteries and because they're a little higher in voltage it was a stronger throat hit. Not much but I noticed it.
Then I got CE2s which I still use and they're much better for throat hit and flavour because the coil is so close to the top. I noticed a huge difference between the ego-T and these.
Now I'm using a lavatube with Ce2s, at around 8mg and the kr808d-1's feel like nothing. Might as well be vaping flavoured air. It's strange to think that at the same nicotine level, the kr808's felt like a real power hit compared to the ego-T but now feel like nothing because I'm used to higher voltage and a closer coil.
I started on 18mg and now I'm on 6 - 8 mg, I didn't notice too much of a drop between each step. If you keep vaping at that lower level, you get used to it. I feel a throat hit at 8mg and if you gave me the 18mg I started with I'm sure I'd have a coughing fit.
The right gear helps but ultimately, stepping down seems to be a matter of persevering with the lower level of nicotine until you're used to it. Heat is a factor but the nicotine level is the biggest and you do get used to it.

Martin, the promotion is still on, so why not buy some stronger strength in the flavours you like and mix the two together?

Karma said what I was thinking. I am vaping at 15 mg nic right now and I got there by mixing equal amounts of 18 mg and 12 mg e-juice (same flavor from the same vendor).

I'd have suggested what Karma has as well Martin . . . otherwise you're going to lose flavour. Which seems a shame as you're happy with them.

Thanks for all the answers and suggestions.. Hmm.. you know buying the stronger flavours does seem like the best option but oh my!.. I like them all and I bought 20 and already wayyyyyyy over my budget.. hmm.. I might try the lower resistence route with the lesser strength flavours, I still have some stronger ones from when I started vaping so can still use that for a nic kick when needed, but I guess I messed up the strength decreases a bit sort of thing.. it's finding the right setup/balance etc.. Still working on it..

Darn good I'd say Alvo . . . and a great way of trying a variety of flavours, at a reasonable cost.

On ECF I have one of those sig banners that kindly informs me that I have saved $156.77.
I have now spent $730 in the 24 days and 10 hours since I started vaping.
Hopefully, yeah right, apart from juice that should calm down now.....till that Provari and Buzz get too tempting.
