3fvape's video of the reo grand...so this will be the exact item received.
For whatever reason, the video is flipped, so everything you see on the left, is actually on the right, and vice versa.

When things go wrong as they often do it's the communication that makes the difference.
People are far more calm and understanding if they're kept up to date with what's going on.
All of this thread really could've been avoided by simple information.

Had you stated that the shipment of reos weren't up to standard and were returned at the time that it happened then you would've actually earned respect from this community.
Maybe some still wouldn't have been prepared to wait but you wouldn't have gotten all this negativity about 3f displayed on a forum for all to see!
I hope things can change going forward.

It's not your fault @ella, and I am sure if the Company had just told us all that there was a genuine fault with the Reo and as a Company they had been returned as they did not meet your expectations I doubt if anyone would have been annoyed.

yeah doesnt look horrible. Behind the plastic will be a strip of metal/copper..its really simple.
I'm a but concerned you're going to be underwhelmed though..if you got rid of the owl, then this thing is very close in terms of how things work, but made from metal. Filling it is similar enough to be "the same"..putting batteries in is "the same". The switch is a better idea on the reo, but will require maintenance (as per most mech switches..noalox/whatever)

which show the 510 connector is adjustable with a hex..this isnt how the original works (slotted screw as per a pbusardo closeup video, although I've never seen a real one in real life), and the inside pictures show the bottle and tubing tilted quite a bit. I think this is because the tubing has a natural bend and a battery isnt fitted, so it is slanting the bottle, but we'll just have to see when it arrives. It could also be that the sample for photography didnt have the 510 press fitted straight, which is easy to fix.

You're buying an owl, albeit a (hopefully) much more reliable, sturdier owl.(says the man who has two in full time operation with no faults after about a month...love me Owl I do:-)

am sure the owl isnt a true mech though is it? sure i saw wires on the review robby did

the reos are built like tanks and will last a lifetime, little tip find a nice big chunky oring to sit around the 510 so when you screw your atty on it sort of seals it up so you will get less liquid in the catch cup that might dribble out

They could have used some thicker copper wire in the Owl easily which would have helped. I am probably in a minority of one here, but the Reo is one of the fuggliest mods I have ever seen

Just cause you couldn't make it work   I agree the atty that comes with it is more than poor and the mod is not for high powered builds got a 0.9 ohm twisted 0.25 mm in the Chalice and it copes with that OK.

I don't think it would have lasted long in this video

I like the Owl squonker, it suits the way I squonk. A subohm dripper on the Owl gives me a similar amount of power as the 15 watt regulated squonker (SCA1 Sbody). But the Reo is soo fuggly, I wouldn`t give it table space

Hey owl lovers this is the Reo thread, come in here just to cause trouble. I'll try not to slag the owl off no more, promise, it was the bestest squonker I have ever owned.



Now back to the Reo, this will be my second squonker I have ever owned, hope it turns out to be a good clone..
