Cheap alternative is a ultrasonic jewerly cleaner. 4AA battery's and two runs perfect. A fiver well spent Battery ones are really not worth the bother, if you are getting one keep your eyes on Lidl & Aldi their ones are pretty good, and good value

Q I've had the same battery's in since February so it's not really a problem. I bought mine from an outdoor market, just wished I'd gotten two

Most (if not ALL) the battery ones are NOT ultrasonic, they just have a little vibrator (ooer missus), I haven't heard of any battery operated one that has the power to be officially classified as ultrasonic

Q, don't disagree, however my understanding is the pricier models aren't cleaning by ultrasound (sonic) it's still cleaning by vibrating the liquid contained in it

They are good for cleaning if used properly, remember the thread about water and oil? As for using it to steep liquid, well it'll mix the components of the liquid better than you could by hand but for actually "steeping" liquid then the only thing that does that is time. But yeah they will be better , quicker and easier for cleaning attys rather than by hand.

I'm just a tight arse and use cold water from the tap! I only vape baccy flavours and have no trouble getting them clean by just rinsing. Same for all my vaping paraphernalia.

In almost 3 years of vaping i have had no issues with good old hot water, and have been able to clean every tank and dripper i have ever owned that way, even managed to clean a few coils like that when times got tough. But then for me the strip down and clean is part of my ritual with my gear, and happens at least once a week

Useful yes, but not for ecig kit. I bought a JML one and I've only ever used it for glasses, jewellery and watches. I tried it for tanks etc and it's no better than some soapy water IMO.

People just like to buy things damian. Then tell you they're the best thing since sliced bread. It's like tooth brushes. There's no secret to cleaning teeth, or anything else. They are toys and it's all bahookey.
