Hiya Just got the Sigelei 150w on Friday from myepack, and it's fantastic, along with the wonderful Kayfun 4 clone + Nitecore D2 charger. I grabbed some batteries from the local B & M, Samsung 25R's, as myepack were out of stock of highest amp Efest's, but, vaping 0.5/6 ohms at 24w, I'm watching the battery life drop 2% per 2-3 vapes. Charging is 5.5 hours, no errors reported. Not sure what's up. Glad I have the mvp3 to use while charging. Having just read comments on FT saying someone's running a plume veil at 0.1 ohm and after about an hour of intermittent vaping at 60watts it still says 100% battery life, and someone else saying they get 2.5 days at 65 watts with Samsung 25R, there has to be something wrong. Charging on Nitecore now. Says chg mode CC, Li-ion, and flashing 500 mA/3.64v/1:13 hours passed. Only have one pair of batteries so far, until budget in a couple of days allows more, but am wondering also which are the best batteries (longest lasting) for the Sigelei. Do plan to get into lower builds, but am just at around 0.5 single coil at the moment. Sony VCT4's give longer battery life? Had bookmarked the Efest 35A's (waiting for myepack to have new stock), but have read somewhere that Efest's are rewrapped 20A's in reality? Noticing EFEST PURPLE IMR 18650 2800 mah 35A Flat Top on myepack too ... they'd be longer battery life plus able vape down to 0.1 ohms? Am also looking at Samsung ICR18650-32A 3.7V 3200mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Batteries from FT, or Panasonic 3.7V 3400mAh Lithium Ion Rechargeable Unprotected Battery on Amazon, and wondering if they'd be safe/last longer? panasonic
First battery mod and don't know the first thing about battery side of things. Just charging the 2 batteries and using them until die. Had an unpleasant experience when trying to go to higher watts (got as far as 50w); felt a strong surge of power underneath the tank, but am sure the safety features must have stopped anything bad happening. Sigelei was getting very hot just before that.

The mAh figure indicates the charge lifetime of the battery not Amps. Samsung 25r batteries are 2500mAh, Sony VTC4's are 2100mAh so Samsungs will last longer between charges. The Sony has a higher Amp rating though at 30A compared to the Samsung at 20A.
Does sound strange that they are draining that fast though.

hey, the Samsung ICR18650-32A 3.7V 3200mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Batteries from FT, will not be able to cope with the higher wattages, same with those panasonics, they can last long with low watts though but the samsungs also are not as safe in case of problems due to the internal chemistry being icr not imr so if theres a problem they can react more violently. They sell samsung 25r's on FT also at a decent price and torchy at ukv and ebay habe them at a good price - I think if you get 2 packs from ebay he sends a 3rd free also, but not 100% sure on that, might have to ask.
Seems strange that the mod would get hot though around 60 watts, wonder if theres an issue with the batteries themself. The sigelei does have safety features but if say the battery is not rated to high amp draws I don't think theres a way for the mod to know this. Its possible theres an issue with the battery. Theres some fake batteries around that claim to be one thing and are a much weaker one instead. I have not heard of the samsung 25r being cloned yet but thats a possibility. There was definitely some sony vtc5 clones around so would need to be careful with that.
Also with mods with 2 batteries in series which I think the 150watt one is, its best to swap the batteries from left to right each time you re insert them after charging so they don't become unbalanced over time, can be good to put a sticker on the outside wrapper just to identify them.

Any thing that is popular is a target for cloners , inc batteries, it could be that you've bought some re-wraps , just because they're from a B&M doesn't always mean that they're genuine

Its 4 pairs now from torchy at ebay prices (I think its roughly 10% a pair more) he sends a 5 pair free. Not sure if its buy direct from torchy at ebay prices or actually buy on ebay would need checking.

If you want to buy batteries from Torchy AND you are a member of he UK Vapers forum, there is a thread over there where he lists what he has and what price he will do them for direct, at better prices than Ebay as he will not have to pay Ebay or PayPal their commission. ETA : ^^ wooky beat me to it!

Thanks vapee Thank you for advising, and for info that samsungs can react violently ... glad it wasn't a mech I was using, lol! Torchy definitely I'll be ordering from. Will definitely swap the batteries round. Just started vaping half an hour ago (in vape time only) and already 5% down, freshly charged, but will see what happens on next charge, when I swap them round, avec sticker.

Is it possible they could have been sold some duds and not know it?

Do you know where there's a readable list? Cool that he sells via that route; very decent thing to do.
