For me, it scrolls fast enough for practical use, I found I go to a certain range and tweak from there, I seldom need to scroll the entire scale, so adjustments seldom took more than a second or two unless I was switching to a dramatically different atty, and even then you just need to get in the ballpark that 1 time and just do tweaks from there.

Also, and again this is just for me, I found that with Temp Control, watts arent nearly as important. I tend to set it higher than needed and let the mod throttle it at my desired temp.

· Atomizer Analyzer
o Monitors your atty in realtime to allow to observe resistance stability.

· Case Analyzer
o Monitors several variables within your enclosure to predict performance under various charging situations.

No presets as of now, although it has been requested several times. There are challenges with it and I do not know if it will make the release or not.

Lots of interesting stuff on the software there thanks tpat591, don't care about power pre-sets, but the wire curve and ability to modify the pre-heat in particular sound very powerful tools that should give a new level of vape tuning and is very tempting, but would have to sell some things.

First pre-sale is up 7-10 days Opus 200 $229, strange many people are still posting that it is still in beta.

Most of the discussion I have read on ECF and Breaktru has got derailed by people worried about lipo, I am not they have separate cell monitoring and balance charging as long as you use a good lipo and don't whack it about these will be as safe as anything else, if not safer.

If you don't want a lipo you can use 3 18650s, I have no problem with them here as the protection the board provides make this completely different to RC models.  If I had the funds I would get one, but really hoping a single 18650 lower power version get released.

I agree the Temperature control and other customization capabilities are very interesting although I believe it should have the capability to switch at least 2 temperature control curves (NI200 & Ti) on the mod itself without interfacing to the computer.

The whole computer interface is exciting in that Evolv is actually allowing users access to the software they use to program the DNA200 but I do wonder how much of this software is actually an advancement over the software that Evolv previously employed to flash, upgrade, or service the DNA40 in house.

Personally I think the board should have been designed to operate on 3.7v, yet allow the use of single, double, or triple battery configurations for powering the mod. Sure they will eventually come around and release one that will with same software capabilities that is compatible with lower power mods and I'm guessing that is when I will find myself more compelled to adopt the technology myself.

Using 3 cells in series will allow it to work more efficiently and prolong your battery life, 200 W is a lot from batteries and series with separate cell monitoring is by far the best way to do it electronically IMO. I like small mods so hope for a cut down 70 W version purely for size and being able to use my current batteries.

The Balancing connector at the bottom is a "JST-XH".
Evolv is recommending a minimum of a 25A connector for the battery +/- connector.
The fave amongst the Evolv engineers is the XT30 connector.

I'm no electronic whizz but is there any reason that they couldn't allow you to select a battery configuration with the software and have it limit the board output to a safe level e.g if you select a single 18650 20a C configuration it limits the board to say 75w?
Their boards constantly monitor the battery right, so the board should be able to prevent a user from selecting a triple series 18650 configuration with the software and then trying to run it on a single 18650 or am i being daft?
