Just wondering if anyone can offer this kitty a home. She is deaf, as with most albinos & has been kept indoors due to the risks. The current owners think she is about 7 yrs old, although they can't be sure. Was the age the rescue centre told them they thought she was. The kitty has had one other owner, who felt, due to being pregnant, she could no longer keep the cat. This beautiful cat would be most suited to a child free home where it could do it's own thing. Well if you or someone you know would be interested, please pm me & I'll pass on details. Thank you

Hissie, if nobody comes forward to home her get in touch with your local Cat Protection League, they will make sure she is well looked after and gets a very suitable home

She isn't my cat karma. She belongs to an aquaintance of mine.
I'm not sure cat protection league are taking in cats at the moment. I think they are full up. In fact someone was saying that quite a lot of rescue centres have set up waiting lists. So, once one animal finds a home, the rescue centre can offer a place to another animal.

Cat's Protection League are loaded and have loads of 'cat foster carers'. They are like social work department for cats, lol! It's worth mentioning to your friends, i'm sure CPL would help

I had a letter from CPL today asking for £3 to feed a cat for a week. They enclosed a prepaid env and a card to stick three one-pound coins in. It's a good thing most pregnant women don't want to give away their cats, just imagine Thank you for trying to help, Hissie

For some strange and bizarre reason when people have children, the pet gets turfed out.

It's a good thing most pregnant women don't want to give away their cats, just imagine Thank you for trying to help, Hissie it's because of all the 'reports' in tabloid newspapers that if you are pregnant you can damage you unborn child with toxins picked up from cleaning out cat litter! It's not helped either by the old wife tale about cats sleeping on baby's faces! My Dad, who is 90 now, has a CPL cat, it's his 2nd one. The first one he adopted was around 12, he had him for 3 years, the cat died 2 years ago. CPL had been helpful to a point but Dad paid for most of the vet bills himself. When the cat died I found out that the cat's deceased owner had left £16000 to CPL CPL is one of the best off animal charitirs around! Google it! Don't get me wrong, they do a great job and make sure that any cat they get has the best vet treatment, neutered and they do lots of checks on new homes. They try to make sure of a perfect match between owner and cat. I have a lot of respect for CPL but they are not skint, unlike many small local animal charities!

I also have a lot of respect for CPL & some of the smaller cat rescues like Haworth Cat Rescue. - www.haworthcatrescue.org/Would be lovely if any of you could click on the link on the above page to vote for them via facebook to help them win the £5,000 prize ((((Hissie))) I so wish I could help, especially as I already have one deaf cat. But I sadly can't take any more cats in at the moment for several reasons Both Josh & Seb came to me because their previous owner was pregnant & had been told by the midwife that having cats around was dangerous to the unborn baby & even more so to a newborn

I only have one cat (and a dog, but he knows who's boss) now, cause she is such a mardie c*w I wouldn't dare have any more! I used to have 3 cats and had 3 cats while pregnant and while the children were babies! If my memory serves me correctly the cats were allways in more danger from the children How on earth do these people think babies and children survived in the past surrounded by animals? A bit common sense and basic hygeine is all that's required!

Health 'professionals' are responsible for an awful lot of scaremongering.
They love to prey on parents to be.
I try and avoid them unless I'm absolutely desperate.

I think it's also an excuse to get rid of a pet that you don't really want anymore.
