Good luck doveman. I wicked the RBA coil that came with the subtank mini for the first time yesterday, just followed the instructions in that little manual, first time luck, no doubt, but seems to work fine. Maybe I won't be so lucky when I have to replace the coil itself! I found that tiny little screw that secures the cover a real pain in the #€!#!

You're sticking the screwdriver in the wrong hole then.

I know every one has there own way that works for them when it comes to coils and wicks It's just a matter of trial and error till you get it right. You need to try and get your coils spaced a little more evenly a tidy screw driver helps ,just push and pull the wraps of the coil till they are spaced evenish I tried cotton on these but had no joy so now I use rayon as cotton did not wick fast enough but rayon does , for me any way Now I have them set up fairly well and they taste good Just read wat every one is saying ,take on board how you would like to do them and persevere When you make changes ,make small changes and in time you will get there Good luck Sorry, missed the last few replies somehow. Thanks for the suggestions. Anyway, I seem to have got better at wicking, not getting any spitting now at least. I still sometimes find my first attempt is rubbish and I'm getting dry hits and have to immediately re-wick but I'm learning to get the wick close enough to the juice channels so that it wicks the juice without blocking them. As for the coils, I bought a batch of ready-coiled ones but annoyingly they come with both ends pointing the same way, so to start with you have to bend one end to point in the other direction. Even then it doesn't really line up with the block, hence why the coils end up being rather compressed together and poorly spaced. It is possible to tweak them a bit with a screw driver as you suggest but it would probably be better if they had one less loop in the coil, so I'll try unwinding one loop next time. It's quite fiddly trying to hold one end of the coil and bend the other end even with tools, so I'll wait until I've got the time to be patient before I try that! I've been needing to mix up some more juice for about the last week but I've been so busy I just took the few ready-made 10ml 10mg juices I had at the back of the cupboard and diluted them to 30ml 3mg juices (I vape at 3mg now, 10mg is way too strong for me). That's only going to get me through another few days though, so I really need to get on with it. It doesn't really take me that long to knock up 6 30ml bottles which last me 2-3 weeks anyway.
