Tempting Gregprr that's a very kind offer but honestly I would prefer to know where I'm going wrong, I can coil everything from protanks to kayfuns to subtank rba's but I can't get the wicking right on the occ coils, any ideas?

What internal diameter coil do you use smarties I do 5 wraps of .5mm around a 2.5 mm kuro coiler , comes in pretty much exactly right. Bonus is that it is small enough width wise to avoid the problem of shorting against the side.with regard to the cotton I'm sure you know you pass enough through the coil that it slides with just a tad of resistance , when its through I snip it off a couple of mm outs side the holes and fluff the cotton right up so the holes are completely filled. Hope this may be of some help.

Just a thought but if you want spaced coils use the rod of the kuro to wrap, push the coil down towards the handle with you thumb and finger nails should come off very evenly spaced but not touching, don't use the top cap at all!

phatfil, not used nickel yet, will certainly have a go for you, send me a length of wire and we'll see what happens along with the head of course. Because I don't have a sub tank you'll have to send the base as well so I can check the resistance. Give it a week because I've got stuff to do for other members. Thumb is getting there, I can grip a beer tinnie now!!

I can grip them but not crush them when empty yet! Previously the thumb would dislocate on the base joint very very easily. I can't remember when it fealt this tight , think this is going to work , chuffed to nuts. Only 4 external stitches, now gone and the stitches internally on the tendon are dissolving. For the first time in along time I'm not worried about it popping out. People slag off the NHS, but I can only say that whilst I had to wait a while, they have been absolutely superb.

Glad to hear your happy with the results as well as on the mend..
Fwiw I spent over a decade working in various nhs trusts up n down the country before small IT firms were legislated out of doing business with any trusts without a 5 star performance ratting ( ?????) and only came into contact with very diligent clinicians and support staff, Those who knock the NHS have another agenda imho..
