People slag off the NHS, but I can only say that whilst I had to wait a while, they have been absolutely superb.

It's fair to say I have only had good results out of the NHS, I think the same as the poster above that some people do have another agenda. The NHS isn't a free service and to be fair they are one of the best in the world. With a small fee for consultation I truly believe that the waiting lists would come down, people would think twice about using a "free" service because they had a cold.

Mine has arrived today. Looks to be an authentic kanger. The holes are further down the chamber than I expected, they are almost on the deck so should be able to vape the tank to basically empty. I'm gonna put a nickel build in there later, will report back. First impressions are good though

I got mine yesterday coiled with a standard kanthal build but I'm not getting the same flavour as the older deck arrangement so I'll be interested to hear if you get the same results or not.

In still playing with the wick as when I did it the way the videos show all I get is dry hits even at my usual 23w.
What I'm trying at the moment is less cotton with both ends twisted to a point and pulled though the holes then trimmed flush against the barrel.

Well it's built csmith10. And I have to say it's vaping quite well. I've put a nickel build in and the flavour is good. I'm at 420f and 29 watts. I just built it, put the barrel down over the wicks, trimmed them and tucked them down. I pulled a tiny bit out the holes then tucked it back so the holes are filled

How close to the top of the barrel did you trim the tails? All the videos I've seen leave the tails quite long and end up stuffing what looks like a lot of cotton!
My second attempt didn't work either so wicking version 3.0 is a pancake type affair where I've cut the tails quite short, fluffed them up then juiced them up, slipped the barrel over the top and just tweaked it so the cotton is over the holes but not pulled though them in any way. So far no dry hits with this method!
The funny thing is the old RBA was a doddle to wick, I could do just about anything and it would work!.

I found the old one a pain csmith10. I like a high vg so it was dry hit central. Might be ok with temp control though. I'm gonna file out the juice channels on the old one but didn't want to do it until I had a back up

Yeah I filed out my juice channels in my old RBA's and it made them a lot more forgiving with high VG, all I had to do was move the cotton away from the channels and I was good to go! Seems these new ones are a bit more sensitive.

Have a subtank on the way from the FB vape group but it has the v1 base and I want the v2 thought I'd ask before going via myepack because I'm tight haha. And FT seem to all be out of stock.
